The improved PVdC recipe allows for higher machine throughput yields, enhanced tablet filling capabilities and higher output. Through an improved PVdC recipe the surface morphology is enhanced in such a way that a significantly better slip coefficient (lower CoF) is attained. The benefits are already seen and maintained in the finished film immediately after coating, and can allow for higher thermoforming throughput yields during capsule and tablet blistering. This modification allows for a smoother and more even surface appearance which enhances product appeal and processing capabilities. Through the improved slip co-efficient a number of benefits are achieved without affecting product properties.
