To further our commitment to the protection of the environment, our customers assets, and the community, Seabulk Towing is certified under the American Waterways Operators Responsible Carrier Program (RCP). Seabulk Towing is committed to eliminating accidents, injuries, and pollution. Compliance with the RCP requires all areas of service activities be well-documented; including operations, maintenance, and crewing. Senior management categorizes improvement initiatives from the RCP required reports and safety performance records. As part of its safety training and evaluation program, Seabulk Towing s marine personnel participate in formal offsite training, which includes detailed instruction on state-of-the-art shiphandling simulators. Other training includes First Aid, CPR, marine fire fighting, and security and environmental awareness. Seabulk Towing continually evaluates the performance of marine personnel for career advancement. In doing so, licensed personnel are assigned to different tugs, which broadens their experience and exposes them to new work opportunities. 4 Seabulk Towing Innovative Technology Seabulk Towing is also recognized as a reliable service provider due to its continual investment in innovative technologies. For nearly a decade, respected shipping companies and pilot organizations have requested the services of our Ship Docking Module (SDM ) fleet to dock thousands of commercial ships in Mobile Bay, Tampa Bay and Port Everglades, Florida. The SDM provides powerful performance with its ability to maneuver ultra-large commercial ships within narrow channels and environmentally sensitive waterways. The SDM is powered by twin Z-drives, mounted fore and aft, and together generating 4,200 horsepower. The unique design of this 90-foot tug can produce 100% of its ABScertified bollard pull of 120,000 lbs. in any direction. Specifically built for ship assist work in confined areas, each SDM is fully equipped to move vessels in and out of the harbor safely and in the most efficient manner possible. 5 ELIABILITY Seabulk Towing Reliable Operations Seabulk Towing takes pride in setting the industry benchmark for high standards in reliable towing operations. Seabulk Towing has the flexibility and experience necessary to meet your company s requirements. Ship assists for docking and undocking operations. Seabulk specializes in vessel logistics for shipyard shifts, petroleum tanker escorts, and stand-by operations in heavy traffic zones and offshore or coastwise towage. Port security, safety stand-by, and security escorts. Heightened port and vessel security to safeguard waterborne commerce are required operations at every port. Seabulk Towing mandates a high level of security for vessel protection. Seabulk Towing operates pursuant to the International Maritime Organization s International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) code regulations and the U.S. Coast Guard s Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) requirements for Homeland Security.
