3 DAY 1 Arrive in Christchurch Depart Brisbane and fly to Christchurch Meet your EA representative who will be on hand 24/7 to help with all your tour arrangements On arrival in Christchurch settle into your accommodation Enjoy some free time this afternoon. There are some great facilities on site to utilise. Accommodation You will be in hostel / holiday park type accommodation, functional and comfortable with student in bunk rooms. Teachers will be in twin share rooms. Meals Breakfasts will usually be catered and usually continental style Lunch will be self-catered Dinner will be had at a selection of local restaurants

4 DAY 2 - Re-build city bus tour & International Antarctic Centre Rebuild City Tour This is a poignant and educational tour of Christchurch where you will learn about: The City s vibrant past - Including the history of Christchurch's pre-earthquake buildings and features. The seismic forces at work in the region Including the events of the September 2010 and February 2011 earthquakes and the devastation they caused. The innovative transitional projects Including the Re:STARTMall, Greening the Rubble, Gap Filler and Street Art. The technology involved in the rebuild The tour will explain some of the lessons learnt from the regions seismic events and point out buildings that incorporate this new technology. The plans for the future - Including artist's impressions and concept designs of new buildings and precincts in the Christchurch city. International Antarctic Centre The International Antarctic Centre is your destination for authentic, interactive fun and provides an exciting experience of Antarctica for visitors of all ages. You ll visit Antarctica the snow and ice experience, survive an Antarctic Storm, learn about life in modern day Antarctica and Scott Base, and hang out with Little Blue Penguins! There s also the famously exciting Hagglund ride and an awesome simulated 4D cruise, Happy Feet 4D, plus heaps more! This evening you will transfer to Lake Tekapowhere you will be staying for the night.

5 DAY 3 TekapoHot Springs & Ice Skating Mt John Observatory Tour Tekapo Springs Tekapo springs offers 3 tiered hot pools landscaped in local greywacke rock and surrounded by the regions native alpine plans to create a natural setting. Pool temperatures range from 40 to 36 degrees Celsius. Sit back, relax, soak and take advance of the wonderful views out over Lake Tekapo and the Two Thumb mountain range. After the Hot Pools make your way to the Ice Skating rink and enjoy a cruise around on the ice! Entry and skates included. Earth & Sky Mt John Observatory Mount John is an asymmetrical rock shaped by the movement of ancient glaciers. The large mass of bedrock attains an altitude of 1031m above sea level. The mountain was chosen as the best observatory site in New Zealand because of it's high number of clear nights throughout the year, the stability and transparency of the atmosphere and uniquely dark skies in the Mackenzie Basin, devoid of city light pollution. Come and see the wonders of the southern night sky, and experience the thrill of peering through powerful telescopes. When the stars are hidden from view, take a journey to discover the nocturnal world of an astronomer: see a range of research equipment that is out-of-bounds to the general public and experience the working environment of an astronomer. This evening you will transfer to Glentannernear Mt Cook where you will be staying for the night.

6 DAY 4 Tasman Glacier Explorer Tasman Glacier Explorer Visit New Zealand's Tasman Glacier terminal lake for a fascinating glacial encounter. Cruise the rapidly growing terminal lake taking in spectacular mountain views and scenery. The bus will take you to the Tasman Valley, followed by a 30 minute alpine walk through the moraine and National Park. Board your custom built MAC boat, and enjoy the ever changing scenery, view the Tasman Glacier ice face from a safe distance and icebergs of all shapes and sizes with the opportunity to touch and taste the year old ice crystals.

7 DAY 5 Queenstown s Skyline This morning you will transfer to Queenstown where you wll stay for the remainder of your trip. This afternoon you will enjoy the Skyline activity package. Gondola & Luge Your group will ride the stunning Skyline gondola and then access a downhill luge track which overlooks the Queenstown Lakes district and beyond. Three trips are included but may not seem enough for some! This is a fantastic adrenalin rush for both students and teachers alike. Maori Cultural Show & Haka Your group will also be treated to a cultural performance (including a Haka.) This Is a fantastic experience and gives an insight into both the cultural practices and contemporary expression of the native Maori people. Buffet & Dinner Your package also includes a dinner up at Queenstown's Skyline Restaurant. This is one of Queenstown's most spectacular restaurants with the Taste of New Zealand buffet dishing up mouth-watering food of legendary proportions.

8 DAY 6 Milford Sound Full Day Trip to Milford Sound Milford Sound, located at the northern most end of Fiordland National Park on the South Island of New Zealand, is a national icon. In places as much as 400 metres deep it is celebrated for its pristine landscapes. Enjoy the spectacular drive from Queenstown to the sounds then jump aboard a cruise boat to explore this stunning landscape by water. Look for wildlife like dolphins and penguins while you cruise Milford Sound, and taste fresh glacial water straight from the waterfalls, it really is a day to remember!

9 DAY 7 Free Time & Depart Free time in Queenstown Queenstown, New Zealand, sits on the shore of the South Island s Lake Wakatipu, set against the dramatic Southern Alps. The surrounding Central Otago region is known for its vineyards, and for adventure sports. In winter, there's backcountry skiing and the country s highest vertical drops. Summer brings paragliding, mountain biking and bungee-jumping (Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge is among the sport's original sites). Departure After your morning of free time it s time to head to the airport and day farewell to your EA representative, it s time to go home with wonderful memories!
