1 1990 STF1 Census Data - Quick Reference Table This reference table lists the most common census variables in STF1 for the 1990 Census. It was created to help users identify specific variables within the WAGDA census geodatabases. The geodatabases contain 10 data tables for STF1A (all data except blocks, in tables labeled 0 through 9) and 1 table for STF1B (labeled BXBZ with data for blocks) which list census variables based on field numbers. You can identify where specific variables are by using this list as a guide. For example, if you want to map housing units, scroll through this list and locate the entry for housing units. The table number is 7 and the field number is H Now, open the geodatabase, open table STF1A7, and scroll to the right to find field H Once you have located the table and field number for housing units, you can add this table to ArcMap to map housing units at the geographic level of your choice. If you were looking for block level data, you would consult the separate, block level list that begins on page 5. The block field for housing units is H1BX0001. All of the block data is located in one table: STF1BXBZ. This guide is only a partial list.
