A virtual internship This will be conducted by an instructor at TCC using software to duplicate experience in medical office setting 2. A 40 hour on-site internship This will be 40 hours you will spend in a medical office. It will be during the week Monday Friday during business hours You will be required to do this portion plan ahead and save your vacation time or find a babysitter.
7 IBEST Opportunity The Medical Registration and Admissions Specialist Certificate is available as an IBEST program IBEST if a great option for those who are not at college level Math and English. Students take additional support classes to assist with successful completion of core professional technical requirements. 28 Entry into the HIM Programs This is the same for the certificates and the degree No application required Must complete or BE TAKING your final pre-reqs when you register for the HIM courses. Register for courses when it is your registration time. Classes fill on a space-available basis. If you don t get in right away put yourself on the wait list. If we have high enough demand we may be able to offer additional sections. If you don t get in you can work on IT and CU course offerings (check out the ehim certificate as a post- Associate degree add and work on some of those courses while you wait to start the HIM program.
29 Transferring in credits from another college If you have courses transferred from another college then make sure they transfer in exactly as English 101, Bus 110, and Biology 175 (all at C or better). If they transfer in as something different, but we have agreed they will be accepted then you will need an entry code to bypass the entry requirements. The computer only recognizes these exact pre-requisite courses. An entry code will allow you to say that you have instructor permission so it is okay. An entry code does NOT guarantee you a spot in the course.
30 e-him Certificate This post-associate s degree certificate is available for those who want more IT training.
