7 How will you know if you have been accepted or not? Students will be notified by U.S. Mail of their status. Letters will go out on March 15 and July 15. There are four possibilities: 1. Full acceptance. This means the student has met all requirements for application, has completed all required courses from Year One, both Fall and Spring (1 st and 2 nd ) semester requirements, with a cumulative 2.75 or better GPA, and is within the top scores of the number of spots available in the program. Candidates offered full acceptance will be required to return an Acceptance Contract with a $100 deposit prior to April 1 for the Fall cohort and June 1 for the Spring cohort. 2. Conditional Acceptance. This means the student has met all requirements for application, has completed all required courses from Year One, Fall (1 st ) semester requirements with a 2.75 or better GPA, will have completed the Year One spring semester required courses prior to starting semester 3, and is within the top scores of the number of spots available in the program. The student must finish all required Spring (2 nd ) semester courses and must maintain the 2.75 or better GPA to retain their spot in the class. If the student does not complete the Spring (2 nd ) semester courses, gets less than a C in any of the courses, or drops below the 2.75 GPA, they will lose their spot in the Fall class, and that spot will be offered to the next person on the Wait List. Candidates offered conditional acceptance will be required to return an Acceptance Contract with a $100 deposit prior to April 1 for the Fall cohort and June 1 for the Spring cohort. 3. Reconsidered. This means the student has met all requirements for either Full or Conditional acceptance. However, the student is not within the top scores of the number of spots available in the program, but is among the next best scores. If an accepted student does not choose to take their spot and attend Century College, the next person on the list for reconsideration will be offered the spot. The list does not continue through the next year, it ends when Fall semester begins. A student on the list who does not get offered a spot this year may reapply the next year. 4. Denied. This means the student is not within the top scores of the number of spots available in the program, and they may NOT have met all requirements for application. Denied students may apply again for the next class the following year and are encouraged to meet with an advisor or counselor. 3/18/14
