For over a century, Fisher has been changing lives by positioning students in their quest for the knowledge and skills that will guide them through a lifetime of intellectual and professional pursuits. Additional benefits include: Eight-week terms that allow students to graduate sooner. Programs in Health Professions, Management, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, and many more. Small class sizes, one-on-one counseling, and a personalized environment that is optimal for learning. Distinguished, private, career-oriented education with affordable tuition and available financial aid. Transfer-friendly process for existing college credits. Internships and career placement programs. CORPORATE ADVANTAGE PROGRAM Degree Cohorts The Corporate Advantage Program offered through Fisher College enables your employees to conveniently attend classes at your facility, while receiving the catered attention of a Fisher student. Companies who enroll in our Corporate Advantage Program will be eligible for a group discount off the cost of each course. A minimum of eight students must be enrolled to create a cohort. We understand that many of our students have previous education and/or work experience, and we want to recognize their hard work and dedication. Fisher s Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Program evaluates training and learning that occurs outside the traditional classroom for college credit. Our Degree Completion Program (DCP) allows students to earn credentials for courses taken at another accredited school. Professional Development Workshops Professional Development Workshops are specifically designed to meet the needs of your organization and can range in a variety of topics. Where do you want your business to be in five years? What skills do your employees need to strengthen to get there? Creating a niche workshop will give your company the boost it needs towards a successful future. To run a Professional Development Workshop there must be a minimum of ten employees. The workshop can be delivered over the course of a week or in a more intensive format of your choice. A certificate will be provided to each employee when the workshop is completed. 2 ICD-10 Program AND RHIT Exam Prep Course ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Workforce Training Program The Workforce Training Program will focus on presenting an ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS classification system to the general public, specifically medical coders established in the health care industry. The course will introduce the participants to the professional standards for coding and reporting of ICD-10-CM diagnostic inpatient and ICD-10- PCS procedure services. Emphasis is placed on coding characteristics, conventions, and guidelines to identify and accurately assign codes to diseases, and conditions and procedures for medical documentation and reimbursement. At the completion of this workforce training program, participants will be able to: 1. Apply a working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding conventions, instructions, and guidelines for coding and reporting diagnostic and procedural services. 2. Evaluate and accurately assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to diseases, conditions, and procedures using the coding books. This program will: Enable participants to earn 14 continuing education credits in ICD-10 coding. (As a workforce training program, participants will be ineligible to earn college credits.) Be offered online as a dynamic self-paced, independent learning program. As an alternative, the college is willing to offer this training session in the classroom over a consecutive two-day period if there is sufficient interest in the community. Be presented in PowerPoint with a voice overlay. The components consist of a brief history and evolution of medical coding systems, introductions to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, instructional modules, coding exercises, quizzes, final exam, and a program evaluation. Be opened for three months once a participant begins the online training. Be conducted over a consecutive two-day period for onsite trainings. Award a certificate for successful completion of the program. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) Credential Examination Prep Course This course is designed as a comprehensive review of health information technology, regulations, and standards in preparation for the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) national credentialing examination through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Additional topics covered include test-taking tips, preparing quality resumes and cover letters, and honing job interview skills to secure employment in the health care industry. This online course will serve as an intensive, comprehensive review for the RHIT credential examination to elevate scores and enhance pass rates. An accredited HIT program is held to a higher standard and must maintain a satisfactory pass rate to retain the nationally recognized accreditation status. A credential is necessary for gainful employment in the health information technology industry. At the completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Apply information, regulations, and standards in response to mock examination questions in all required Health Information Technology examination domains. 2. Explore health information through research and apply knowledge from courses such as medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and disease processes to case studies relative to Health Information Technology. 3. Develop a study plan and apply test-taking techniques to prepare for the credential examination. 4. Create a resume and cover letter to apply for future job positions. 5. Develop strategies to prepare for job interviews. Course, per student: $350 Courses run over an eight-week term and will be pass/fail.
