4 Virginia Occupational Therapy Association 2415-B Westwood Avenue Richmond, VA nd Annual School-System Symposium: Innovative Intervention to Support Student Participation March 13 th and 14th, 2014 at Halpin-Harrison Hall on the campus of Shenandoah University, 600 Millwood Avenue, Winchester, VA (corner of Millwood Ave and Pleasant Valley Road) Keynote: Youth Panelists from the I m Determined Project Our keynote presenters, a panel of youth with disabilities from the I'm Determined Project, will share their experiences of developing the skills associated with self-regulation and advocacy and they will share how the innovative interventions that they received enabled them to gain greater understanding of their personal strengths and areas of need, and to set and achieve goals. Plenary: Deb Rose, PT, DPT, PCS Dr. Rose is a pediatric clinical specialist employed as a physical therapist in the Fairfax County Public Schools. In addition, she is an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences Department at Drexel University. Dr. Rose provides support services to educational teams, students and families. Dr. Rose will discuss strategies to support innovative collaborative partnership to ensure student success.
