Get USAV Tuition Scholarship with scholarship value up to US$28,500 to cover your tuition for the first 24 months of the Bachelor s Degree. This means you pay $0 Tuition in years 1-3. You study on-campus in the USA or UK for the final year(s) for the degree. USAV Tuition Scholarship is also available if you wish to study fully on-line from your own country. 2. Get Pearson International Diploma (BTEC Level 5 Diploma) awarded by Pearson (of Pearson College, London and Pearson Edexcel) in the first 24 months of the degree. 3. STUDYNGWITH USAV TUITION SCHOLARSHIP YOU PAY ONLY: US$30 to process the scholarship: review the application, get your personal statement and credentials independently assessed, develop and print your Certificate of Scholarship Award, and for postage. US$0 for Tuition. US$2500 per year for the first 24 Months of the degree to maintain and service the scholarship. You can pay the Auxiliary fees 1,2,3,4 or 5 equal parts. Jamaican Nationals pay only US$1,900 for auxiliary fee annually. Other nationals studying on-campus in Jamaica for the 24 months pays the same rate. The Auxiliary fee covers USAV overhead; USAV staff salaries; fees for Pearson to examine and award the Diploma in the first 24 months; and marketing cost to secure donations for USAV Tuition Scholarship. Final year tuition and fees are set and collected directly by your University to top-up the Degree. USAV Scholarship covers the first 24 months of the degree only. Scholarship funds may be available based on the funds in our treasury. You may submit a the scholarship application for final year after consultation with USAV admission. USAV saves you 3 years tuition of up to US$28,500, earn the widely accepted Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma, study-work-travel in the USA, and progress to final year(s) of a US/UK University for the Bachelor s Degree. 5 HOW TO APPLY FOR USAV TUITION SCHOLARSHIP STEP 1: Go to the USAV website to Apply- Complete the Scholarship Application Form o o o Fully complete all the required fields on USAV Tuition Scholarship Application Form on USAV website. Select your field of Study: Business; Health and Social Care; Beauty Management; or Travel and Tourism. Identify the University/College you wish to top-up the degree with (also give two other options). STEP 2: Pay the required handling and postage charges of US$30. Pay the Processing Fee of USD30 within 7 days of submitting the application. Pay online or by bank transfer. The Processing fee is non-refundable. Application processing begins when this handling fee is paid and a copy of the payment slip is ed to USAV Student Care Office. STEP 3: Review of your application Review of your application can take 2-7 days after your handling fee is received while time varies if the selection committee is not familiar with the entry qualification you submit. If your application is successful or we require further information from you we will contact you within 4-7 days. If the application is declined we send you the feedback on the reasons. Be assured that 100% of qualified applicants are accepted as we work to achieve our mission to make quality higher education affordable and attainable to all citizenry. If you do not meet college entry requirements at this time we continue to work with you through the US High School Diploma, US SAT or the GCSE Examinations until you matriculate as you will need to meet set college entry requirements to be accepted. STEP 4: USAV Certificate of Scholarship Award is mailed or ed to you 1. USAV contacts its Pearson BTEC Registered Partner for the issuance of the letter of acceptance to enable you to earn the Pearson L5 Diploma in the first 24 months. You study with Colbourne on-campus in Jamaica or online from anywhere in the world for the first 24 months of the degree. 2. USAV contacts the US/UK University you select for final year to issue the letter of provisional acceptance. If the university you select as first choice is not a partner college listed on our website, we will work with the university through NACES credential evaluation to ensure your credits are recognized and you get the same USAV Tuition Scholarship benefits. *Non partner universities and colleges will not issue provisional acceptances as they will not accept you until after the first 24 months is completed and you hold the BTEC L5 Diploma for advanced placement in the university. STEP 5: Start the first 24 months of the degree (with financing) 1. Start the 36 Months degree program and Earn Pearson BTEC L5 Diploma in the first 24 months. Attend orientation, research and examination workshops hosted annually in Miami and New York. Apply for the Study-Work-Travel with paid work experiences in the US at the end of the first 24 months of study. 2. USAV sends you an invoice for US$2,500 for auxiliary fees payable annually over the 24 months. If you are studying the first 24 months with a BTEC College in Jamaica you pay USD1, 970 annually. Pay the auxiliary fee in 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 equal parts annually. Auxiliary fee is all you pay on the degree for the first 24 months.you also will receive USAV Financial and Tuition Agreement. Read, sign and the Financial and Tuition Agreement by the printed deadline with a deposit of USD250. This is NOT an additional charge. The required deposit of $250 is to be subtracted from the Auxiliary Fees you are to pay. STEP 6: Study Final Year On-campus in the US/UK or Online from your Country Study final year(s) for the degree on-campus in the US or UK with the selected University. You may also study fully online for the degree without leaving your country and family. When you start university you are fully transferred and all tuition agreements and payments are directly with the university and on their terms. Note! USAV achieves these by the following study-work-travel and cultural exchanges: US-UK-Caribbean-Canada EduTours for High Schools Seniors, College Students & Teachers US-UK-Caribbean-Canada International Summer Camp for the gifted US-UK-Caribbean-Canada Summer Work and Travel/Internship US-UK-Caribbean-Canada International Camp Counselors and Staff US-UK-Caribbean-Canada College Study Abroad US-UK-Caribbean-Canada Teach Abroad Summer Camps are run for two weeks - in the month of April in Jamaica for Spring Break and in August for Summer Break in the US. These are open to high school seniors and college students from all countries (ages 18 and over). These summer programs provide the opportunity for peer networks, leadership development and a great way to meet new friends, and experience new, rich and diverse cultures. STUDY ABROAD for one semester. Study at a US-UK-Caribbean-Canadian College or University for one semester and experience College life in a new culture. CULTURAL EXCHANGE live with a host family while you study-work-travel. This provides a unique experience to learn the culture, make new friends and share your own culture with your new family.
