7 e-navigation e-navigation is the harmonized collection, integration, exchange, presentation and analysis of maritime information onboard and ashore by electronic means to enhance berth to berth navigation and related services, for safety and security at sea and protection of the marine environment Harmonization of the communication systems and data formats between ship-ship, ship-shore and maybe even shore-shore Minimizing the burden by obtaining the right information at the right time
