1 The Snap-on MT2400 Vantage power graphing meter (Figure 2-1) gives you on-screen information for sensor, actuator, and control signal testing specific to the test vehicle manufacturer and system. The split-screen format lets you view multimeter readings and component-specific test help simultaneously. 5

Control Buttons The Vantage meter has the following control buttons (Figure 2-2): Backlight button Thumbwheel Y (Yes) button N (No) button Power button 7

4 Backlight Button The Backlight button can switch the backlight on and off at any time while operating the meter. You can also program the Vantage meter to automatically turn off the backlight after a preset period of time. See Backlight Timer on page 44 for more information. Thumbwheel The Thumbwheel moves the highlight around the screen for making menu or field selections and is typically used in combination with the Y and N buttons. Y (Yes) Button The Y button does the following: Selects the item you highlighted using the Thumbwheel. Toggles between cursors. N (No) Button The N button does the following: Exits a menu or program. Moves the highlight between the upper and lower parts of the screen. Power Button The Power button turns the unit on and off. 5 Connections Connections The Vantage meter has connections for five measurement channels and a serial printer (Figure 2-3 on page 7). Two of the measurement channels are accessible through a single 9-pin mini-din connector for transducer and kv Module connections. Transducer power is supplied by the meter. Captures cycle-by-cycle differences on Channel 1 or Channel 2 (see notes 7 and 8 of Operating Specifications Notes on page 13); all other functions capture 100% of 100 millisecond event, all ranges.
