Funding is coming from. The ordinance is given its second and third readings in the process of passage, by title only, all Councilors having copies, and the third reading of the subject ordinance is adopted by Roll Call Vote.

3 COUNCIL AGENDA July 6 th, 2015 PAGE Request for Funding and Contractor Approval for the Garibaldi Fountain CAM The City Council hereby approves appropriation Ordinance Number: in the amount of $14,000 for repairs to the Garibaldi Fountain and approves the request of the Interim Public Works Director to award a contract to Loring & Sons Masonry, Inc. of New London to perform the repairs. Funding is coming from LoCIP funds. The ordinance is given its second and third readings in the process of passage, by title only, all Councilors having copies, and the third reading of the subject ordinance is adopted by Roll Call Vote. 7.5 Drops from the Public Safety Committee CAM The City Council hereby drops the following items from the Public Safety Committee. City Hall Repairs Memo from Paul Gills- Truck Rollover 7.6 Hiring of Selected Brownfield Sites Consultants CAM The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into contractual agreements with select LEP firms to provide community-wide assessments for potential Brownfield grant sites, to provide consulting and assessment services for site-specific Brownfields sites; and further authorizes the Mayor to sign any documents necessary and incidental to effectuating said easement.

4 COUNCIL AGENDA July 6 th, 2015 PAGE New Business 8.1 Police Station Staircase Contractor and Bid Approval CAM The City Council hereby approves and gives the Mayor authorization to enter into a contract with Lombardi Gravel and Excavation, LLC of Oakdale, CT, to complete the necessary work to replace two (2) concrete staircases at the Police Station and also to install an ADA railing along the back of walk on Governor Winthrop Boulevard parallel with the Police Station, for a project bid amount of $123, Ordinance Storm Water Drainage CAM The City Council approves Ordinance Number in the amount of $1,100, for storm water improvements at, but not limited to, Guthrie, Green Harbor, and Osprey Beaches. The ordinance is given its first and second readings in the process of passage, by title only, all Councilors having copies, and the third reading of the subject ordinance is adopted by roll call vote. 8.3 Ordinance - Public Safety Equipment CAM The City Council approves Ordinance Number in the amount of $1,400, for the purchase of public safety equipment. The ordinance is given its first and second readings in the process of passage, by title only, all Councilors having copies, and the third reading of the subject ordinance is adopted by roll call. 8.4 Resolution- Public Works Union CAM BE IT RESOLVED that the City of New London, a municipality as defined in of the General Statues as amended, accepts part II of Charter 113 of the General Statutes, as amended, for participation in Fund B of the Connecticut Municipal Employees Retirement System as to New London Public Works, Local #1378, of Council #4, American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, but this acceptance shall not repeal, amend or replace, or affect the continuance of, any pension system established in this municipality by or under the authority of any special act. 8.5 Award for Architectural Services for New London High School Campus Project CAM The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into a contract with Antinozzi Associates to provide architectural services for the New London High School project for a fee of $3,939,000 as recommended by the School Building & Maintenance Committee after a four step selection process. Moreover, the City Council authorizes said hiring pursuant to Ordinance Section 2-66 in accordance with CT General Statutes.

The motions are seconded, the Chair calls the roll; and the Chair declares the motions to be unanimously voted and adopted.
