5 Data Management Meter Deployment and Initial TOU Billing Contract 3 rd party to provide initial MDR Provide meter data reporting verification and statistics during deployment TOU pricing pilots pre mandatory TOU Provincial MDM/R Integration Began working with Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in March, 2007 Production Pilot mode October, 2007

Every day is a reading day, a billing day and a due day Billed consumption can be for a calendar month, half of one month and half the next, or anywhere in between Creates need to pro-rate rate changes Migrating to calendar month consumption, independent of billing date Eliminate pro-rate

18 MDM/R Activity Detail examination of AMI data input and billing quantity output Parallel of utility legacy and new smart meter systems Using 250 Pilot accounts Accounts have been billed on TOU for about 14 months, hourly data collected for over 2 years Interval by interval comparison of AMI, contract MDR and IESO MDM/R data Verification of data framing, VEE and synch file functions
