3 Required for Basic connections Download the Marantz Hi-Fi Remote App Scan the QR code to download and install the Marantz Hi-Fi Remote App using your smartphone and a scanning app or manually search the Apple App store or Google Play store for the Marantz Hi-Fi Remote Amplifier Speaker systems Speaker cables Required for Network connections or LAN cable Wi-Fi router These drawings are for illustrative purposes only and may not represent the actual product(s). 2

4 Important: External Antennas The removable external antennas are required for both Bluetooth and Wireless network connectivity. Please make sure to connect the antennas before attempting to use the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi features of the NA6005. nnconnecting the external antennas for Bluetooth/Wireless connectivity For each of the two antennas: 1) Place the antenna evenly over the antenna terminal located at the upper left or right corner of the rear panel. 2) Turn the antenna clockwise until it is fully connected. Do not over tighten. ) Rotate the antenna upwards for the best possible reception. q w e

5 Setup Steps 1 There are five steps to the setup process. 7 Connect to the network Wired LAN When connecting cables (wired connection), connect a LAN cable between your network audio player and your network router. Wireless LAN When connecting to wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), follow the instructions in Connecting the external antennas for Bluetooth/Wireless connectivity and connect the antennas. 8 Marantz NA6005 Choose from one of the following options Wireless ios device ios version 7 or later Make sure your ios device is connected to your WiFi Network. Select the network named NA6005 from the Settings/Wi-Fi screen on your device. ios device + USB cable ios version 5 or later 1 Power on 2 Select language Make sure your ios device is connected to your WiFi Network. Connect your ios device to the front using your USB cable. No WPS router Select Wi-Fi - scan and wait as your NA6005 looks for available networks. 9 Marantz NA6005 Marantz NA6005 Wired 1 Connect a network cable between your NA6005 and your router. (cable not included) NETWORK 2 4 Power on Select language Please wait while your NA6005 connects to your wired network. 4 Follow the instructions and tap Next. 5 Please wait as completing the connection can take a few minutes. The front panel of the NA6005 will show the status of the connection. WPS 4 Press the ios Button on the back of your NA6005. ios 5 This message will appear on your ios device Select Allow. Share Wi-Fi Settings? Do you want to share your Wi-fi settings so this accessory can connect to the Wi-Fi network? Connected! lgnore Allow 4 Select your network name. If your network name is not listed, select Rescan. 5 Enter your network password using the number keys on the remote control. 4 Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on the back of your NA6005. WPS 5 Please wait as completing the connection can take a few minutes. The front panel of the NA6005 will show the status of the connection. 8

10 NA Enjoying your music! nnenjoying Internet Radio 1 2 Press INTERNET RADIO. Select the item, then press ENTER. Repeat step to select the station, then press ENTER. nnenjoying music using Apple AirPlay 1 2 Open Control Center (ios 7 and later) by swiping up from the bottom of your screen, then tap AirPlay. Select the Marantz NA6005 from the AirPlay Device list. Play the song on your iphone, ipod touch or ipad. 9

11 nnenjoying music using Bluetooth 1 2 Press Bluetooth to select Bluetooth. When using for the first time, the unit will go into the pairing mode automatically and Pairing Mode will appear on the display of the unit. [Pairing Mode] Turn on Bluetooth f... : cancel Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device. Bluetooth ON 4 Select Marantz NA6005 from the Bluetooth device list on your mobile device. Some devices may required you to verify the numeric code and press ENTER. Play music using any app on your device. Bluetooth Marantz NA

12 5 Operate this unit with an ipad, iphone or Android smartphone When this unit is connected to a Marantz amplifier or CD player, the amplifier or CD player can be operated using the Marantz Hi-Fi Remote App. This unit Amplifier Remote connector cable (supplied) Set to EXTERNAL.
