2 Offshore Indicators Major accidents

3 The objective of the work Measure the impact of the industry's HSE work. Contribute to identifying areas that are critical for HSE and where the effort to identify causes must be prioritised in order to prevent unwanted incidents and accidents. Increase insight into potential causes of accidents and their relative significance for the risk profile, to provide decision-support for the industry and authorities concerning preventive safety and emergency preparedness planning. The work may also contribute to identifying focus areas for amending regulations, as well as research and development.

21 PSA Investigations 2015 Lifeboat incident on the Mærsk Giant mobile drilling facility on 14 January Hydrocarbon leak on the Gudrun field in the North Sea on 18 February. Person fell overboard from Scarabeo 8 on the Goliat field in the Barents Sea on 20 February Incident on Transocean Barents on 4 March when a roughneck suffered crush injuries Fire involving the generation of fumes on the production vessel Petrojarl Knarr FPSO in the Knarr Field in the North Sea on 24 March. Dropped object incident on the West Venture mobile drilling facility on 23 March 2015
