6 Social Networking Two major objectives of the HKUST Toastmasters Club are to nurture the members into caring and contributing members of the society and assist their integration into the workplace upon their graduation. For the non-local members, there is an additional aspect of assisting their integration into the Hong Kong society. This is done through the networking opportunities within the club and with the Toastmasters community in Hong Kong. This social network has proven effective in helping a number of local and non-local members overcome challenges in personal relationship, mental health and job search upon graduation. Among HKUST Toastmasters The HKUST Toastmasters gather regularly for lunch, tea or dinner every week to catch up with each other. These gatherings provide opportunities for bonding and discussions for club activities. Many of the clubs activities are proposed after these chit-chat sessions. For university Toastmasters Clubs The HKUST Toastmasters Club has initiated two activities for university Toastmasters Clubs in Summer 2013 and the details are 1. Coffee Tasting workshop 26 July 2013 Café Golden, Shek Kip Mei JCCAC 2.
