1 All images Google.com A Taste of BURGUNDY and LYON We offer to chauffeur you in two comfortable cars through Burgundy, visiting e.g. its capital Dijon and renown beautiful Beaune, Tournus, Cluny, Chablis, Vezelay, but also the great little villages, like Nuit St. Georges, Meursault, Puligny Montrachet and many more, which are the origins/ locations of the famous Cote D or Burgundy wines, historical monuments, archeological sites, French joie de vivre. We intend to use a well appointed and intimate B&B or boutique hotel as our home base, from where we start always either after breakfast or after lunch for an excursion to neighboring towns, villages and sites. This allows you to also have time for leisure and fun in your hotel and get to know the town we'll stay in and reflect together on our impressions while sipping a good glass of Pinot in the evening. We also offer to explore the third largest city in France (and former capital) Lyon (before going to Burgundy). We would pick a hotel located in the heart of the city and explore the town with public transportation and by foot. Everybody gets here a pass with access to plenty museums and free transportation. Per day we pick one or two main attraction(s), which we explore together, the rest of the day is at your leisure and pace,

2 but we naturally support you to make your own choices. Naturally we ll also take care of all our restaurant reservations. Participation for these trips is limited to min. 6 / max. 8 guests beside us. So again it s going to feel like a group of friends is traveling. SCHEDULE in short Part A - Tue June 13 - Sat Jun 17, 2017 TUE, Jun 13, Afternoon - Arrival in Lyon - Meeting at Hotel - Welcome aperitif at 7:00PM, Dinner at 8:00PM Lyon, France s original capital, located in France s Rhône-Alpes region, sits at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers. Its city center reflects 2,000 years of history, with a Roman amphitheater in Fourvière, medieval and Renaissance architecture in Vieux Lyon, and the modern, redeveloped Confluence district on the Presqu'île peninsula between the rivers. Traboules, covered passageways between buildings, connect Vieux Lyon and La Croix-Rousse hill. It s also famous for it s fabulous cuisine and great shopping possibilities. Lyon is not only the historical capital of Gaul ( France) but is world renown for its silk goods. Those who enjoy this dignified fabric will be delighted to find the few original silk weavers from times past. Amid their collections that are "Made in Lyon" are scarves, ascots and other silk accessories. Lyon is also

3 considered to be the capital of French Kitchen! You ll find great museums, among them the Musée des Beaux Arts,an impressive gallery, which is among the largest museums not only in France, but in the whole of Europe. Outstanding with it s spectacular architecture is The Musée des Confluences, which designed by Coop Himmelblau from Vienna, understands itself not as an exclusive Temple of the Muses for the educated elite, but as a public gateway to the knowledge of our time. It stimulates a direct, active use not only as a place of contemplation, but also as a meeting place in the city. Part B - Sat Jun 17 - Sat 24, 2017 Sat Jun 17, 2017 after Breakfast (10:00AM) - Travel by Car to our accommodation in Burgundy (~3h to 5h due to traffic and leisure) Burgundy (Bourgogne in French) offers some of France's most gorgeous countryside: rolling green hills dotted with mustard fields and medieval villages. The region's towns and its dashingly handsome capital, Dijon, are heirs to a glorious architectural heritage that goes back to the Renaissance, the Middle Ages and into the mists of Gallo-Roman and Celtic antiquity. Two great French passions, wine and food, come together here in a particularly rich and enticing form. Only a few regions in France offer such a density of good restaurants, than the area between Joigny, Dijon and Macon. Indeed, Burgundy's centuries-old history of viticulture, combined with the remarkable diversity of its wine-growing terroir

4 (land), have made the region's vineyards a strong candidate for UNESCO World Heritage status. Burgundy is also a paradise for lovers of the great outdoors. Whether you explore the Côte d'or vineyards, hike the wild reaches of the Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan or stroll along the Yonne's waterways, you ll feel the special touch of this blessed region.
