Day 1 Overnight flight to Kenya We depart on Monday night and arrive in Nairobi the next day in the early evening, where you will be transferred to the EKA Nairobi. While traveling through Kenya and the game parks, safari vans with raised roofs and a maximum of 7 travelers per vehicle. It is our intent to have a maximum of 6 passengers per vehicle. Meals Served in flight. Day 2: Arrive: HNairobi CityH Accommodation:EKA Hotel Nairobi Activity: Airport Arrival - Meet, Greet & Assist, transfer to hotel. The trip to Kenya can have its moments - airports, crowds, lines, luggage, and irritating snafus. But once you arrive in Nairobi, Safari Capital of the World, everything changes. A smiling happy face greets and welcomes you to Kenya. You're welcomed, assisted and transferred to the Nairobi EKA Hotel We will arrive in Nairobi about 9:15 PM in the evening; many will want a hot shower and a bed others will want to have a bite to eat. We will provide light snack items in your room. Meal Plan: Meals served in flight. Day 3: HAmboseli National ParkH Accommodation: Amboseli Serena Lodge Activity: Transfer to Amboseli. Afternoon Game Drive After breakfast we depart for Amboseli National Park where Mount Kilimanjaro provides a dramatic backdrop as it rises almost 20,000 feet above the plain. Amboseli boasts a variety of ecosystems - marshland, scrubby plain, and acacia woodlands - supporting a diverse range of wildlife. Following lunch, spend the afternoon viewing elephants, giraffes, ostrich, gazelles, baboons, monkeys and many more animals. Please remember that from local vendors or curio shops never pay more than 1/3 the asking price. Shopping from vendors at the entrance to the park leads to great values, but there are no returns. Know the price you are willing to pay in advance for trinkets and have the right change in local currency. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 4: HAmboseli National ParkH Accommodation: HAmboseli Sopa LodgeH Activity: Morning and Afternoon Game Drives Today features morning and afternoon game drives where you are likely to spot wildebeest and zebra attracted to the marshes and swamps fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro. On a Tye s Tour, we don t leave at the crack of dawn like many of our competitors. Our game drives will be scheduled to start at 8 AM unless you are on a photo tour designed to catch specific lighting conditions. You may also spot white rhinos on the fringes of the marshes as well as a great variety of bird life (some 425 species of bird populate the park). With Kilimanjaro providing a dramatic backdrop, your photographs

2 will be stunning. Today we will have a box lunch to enjoy in the park avoiding having to return to the lodge for lunch. We will also include a visit to a Masai Village where you can learn about the local people. We encourage all of our guests to bring school supplies for the kids as pens and paper are often difficult and expensive to obtain. For $30 you can buy a child a school uniform, which each child must obtain in order to attend school. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 5: HSweetwater s Wildlife Sanctuary Accommodation: HSweetwater s Tented CampH Activity: Transfer to Sweetwater s Wildlife Sanctuary Private Game Park. We continue our exploration with a scenic drive north through coffee, pineapple and tea plantations of central Kenya. We will enjoy lunch on the way to the Sweet Waters Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild's giraffe and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and hippo. Don t be afraid of a tented camp as they are virtual hotel rooms with canvas walls. All rooms have electricity and private bathrooms with showers. Tonight we will feature a night game drive where you will be able to observe the nocturnal wildlife. In order to photograph animals in the dark we suggest you bring an LED Flashlight with a 300 lumen beam (we will have these lights available at discount prices and can be purchased on line for as little as $10. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 6: HSweetHwater Wildlife Sanctuary Accommodation: HSweetwater s Tented Camp Activities Game Drive Chimpanzee sanctuary feed a rhino. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Observe chimps from the Jane Goodall Institute at the Sweetwater s Chimpanzee Sanctuary. When we visit the Chimpanzee research center you can adopt a chimp for a year for as little as $25. When you read the horror stories of these chimps almost everyone wants to adopt an animal. We encourage all of our guests to contribute to the aid in the research and preservation of these animals with the adoption program (Visa and Master Card gladly accepted) In the afternoon watch the animals come to you as they come for a drink at Sweetwater. A perfect time for the photographer to wait for the photo opportunity and take that amazing shot. Don t be surprised to see giraffes, storks, rhinos, gazelles, wart hogs and many other animals coming down for a drink. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Day 7: Lake Elementaita. Accommodation: Serena Lake Elementaita Camp. Activity: Afternoon game drives This morning we will cross the equator and head south arriving at Lake Elementatia in time for lunch. In the afternoon we will cruise Lake Naivasha in search of hippos, birdlife and eagles. We will return to the lodge with time for you to go for a swim or relax in the lodge. Afternoon Game Drive This remarkable day takes you to the Masai Mara Reserve and into the domain of the Masai, Kenya's cattle-herding nomads determined to preserve their traditions. The Mara is magnificent, home to Kenya's richest concentration of wildlife, and regarded by many travelers as an essential stop on any tour of Africa. 5 T In the five National parks you will be visiting you will see an abundance of wildlife. There is no need to cross borders, as you will see more wildlife then you can imagine in these parks. The temperature at this time of year will be about during the day and dropping down to 60 at night. The bugs and mosquitoes are at a minimum at this time of year. The lodges and hotels used on this tour are equivalent to US 4 star hotels with all rooms having private bathrooms. Things to be aware of. Many hotels turn off electricity from midnight to 4 am and from 10 am to 6 pm. Internet access is extremely limited. If you want or need to use a phone it is best to buy a world phone $29. and then pay for air time. The vaccinations needed change all the time but the basics are, tetanus -typhoid, yellow fever, hepatitis, and an anti malaria prophylactic.
