Mobile bidding is an enhancement to BiddingForGood s auction management system that allows event attendees to bid on auction items at your event using their mobile devices, tablets, or laptops. It also allows you to use BiddingForGood s leaderboard feature to highlight items, thank sponsors and donors, and show progress toward your fundraising goal live at your event. 2 - What are the benefits of mobile bidding at your event? 5 6 - How do I prepare attendees to use mobile bidding at the event? BiddingForGood s ticketing solution pre-registers attendees to bid When your supporters buy their tickets from your auction homepage, they are registered to bid and you capture their credit card information. This is by far the easiest way to ensure a smooth running event. Encourage attendees to pre-register with s and instructions If you choose not to use the ticketing feature, you can still help your supporters get registered and ready to bid. We provide templates and a PDF with easy to follow instructions on how to register and how to bid. 7 - What is a leaderboard? The dynamic leaderboard feature allows everyone to see your auction s progress in real time on one or more screens. Bids, cash donations, and amount raised are all updated in real time. You can even thank your sponsors and top donors. Everyone at the event can watch your fundraising thermometer fill up as it happens, creating a whole new level of excitement. However, we advise that you have several computers available at your event so that anyone who has not pre-registered can do so upon arrival. #10 - How does mobile bidding affect closeout?
