1 Bulky & Quick Shark Blanket This pattern is the sole property of MJ s Off the Hook Designs. This pattern is copyright protected and cannot be copied or reproduced in any way. You are not able to make a few changes to this pattern and call it your own. A lot of time and hard work goes into writing patterns. You are welcome to sell your finished items from this pattern but I do not allow mass production or selling without a reference or link for my design. My photos are copyright protected and are not to be used to sell your items! This pattern is written in Standard American Terms Supplies: Shark Blanket: Bernat Softee Chunky super bulky weight 6 (108 yds/99m/100g/3.5oz per skein) Use 2 strands for body, 1 strand for fins: Grey Heather- Preschool: 7 skeins (756 yds) Child: 9 skeins (972 yds) Adult: 11 skeins (1188 yds) White 1 skein (all sizes) Wine 1 skein (all sizes) Crochet hook size Q (16 mm) for body of Blanket Crochet hook size M (9mm) for fins Small amount of batting for back fin 2 Black buttons for eyes (30mm) smaller size for infants (20-25mm) Tapestry needle with large hole for bulky yarn Measuring tape *Note you may substitute worsted weight yarn (4) for this pattern. You will need to use 3-4 strands for the equivalent bulkiness Special notes: I never count my chain as a stitch I crochet my first stitch in chain space with the exception of turning round when making the cocoon. The hole is very small to work into when you turn so I crochet into Page 1

2 the next stitch. Make sure you count each st in the round to be sure you have the right amount of stitches. Whenever possible I crochet over my ends and weave back in opposite direction. Make sure you check your gauge! I tend to crochet on the tight side. You may need to change hook size to obtain correct gauge. For the body, teeth, and gums use 1 strand of bulky weight yarn (6) or hold 2 strands of worsted weight (4) yarn together using a 9mm hook.
