Measure the actual length from ready garment. Sew the fur along front and neck edge border. Use sewing thread and a thin sewing needle. Sew on the leather clasps (one at neck edge, rest 7 cm (2.8 in) spaced apart. HAT Using needles size 7mm and light grey yarn, cast on 4 sts. Work back and forth in St st. Inc 1 st at each edge every 2 nd row until you have 12 sts on a row. Work in St st until work measures 10 cm (4 in). Put work aside, and knit the other ear flap. Cont working in St st in rnds as foll: K over 12 sts of one ear flap, cast on 25 sts (=front), K over 12 sts of the other ear flap and cast on 11 sts (= back) = 60 sts. K 1 rnd over all sts. Cont working in St st and patt I as charted. When patt is ready, cont working in St st and white yarn until work measures appro. 18 cm (7.1 in), measured mid front.
