The international women entrepreneurs leading an existing startup or in the process of developing a startup company with a potential global customer base can apply for a permanent residency status in Ireland for themselves and family members. Female lead startups are increasingly growing in Ireland and there are specific female business support and funding programs available in Ireland.

2 Qualification The Irish startup entrepreneur residency visa is designed to attract international female entrepreneurs and to offer residency in Ireland. The entrepreneurs and startups with a proposal for a high potential innovative businesses and funding of 50,000 can acquire residency in Ireland. The funding rules are flexible; personal, family/friends, loan, angel investor etc. This program is not intended for retail, personal services, catering or other businesses of this nature. The innovative businesses are those that have potential to trade globally and create jobs in future. The program is flexible and does not require initial job creation and allows sufficient time to develop business.

4 Application process The application will be evaluated by committee comprised of representatives of IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and the following government departments; Finance, Jobs & Innovation, Foreign Affairs & Trade, Health and Immigration & Naturalisation services. Application criteria In addition to having sound business proposal and access to 50,000, applicants must also meet the following requirements: Non EU citizen (currently in Ireland or outside) Valid passport or another substitute foreign travel document Documents supporting the source and origin of the declared and investment funds Proof that the applicant has no criminal record Proposed office or co-working space agreement in Ireland Agreement letter if supported by Irish incubator or accelerator such as Emcubator Funds transferred in Ireland through institution regulated by Irish financial regulatory authority Investment agreement if funded by third party Financial modelling detailed in business plan Economic viability of business proposal Payment of Government application fees of 350 Emcubator's legal team producing affidavit attesting to applicants good character Application stage 1 In the application stage, the candidates will submit their application forms and all supporting documentation as well as the required details of their enterprise proposals for approval by the evaluation committee. The evaluation committee will make recommendations to the Irish Minister as to whether or not the person and their proposal should be accepted under the programme. Application stage 2 Applicants who are successful and whose business proposals are approved will be issued permanent residency permission if the following conditions have been met: The required funding has been transferred to a financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. The applicant, and if relevant their spouse/partner, has submitted the required affidavit attesting to their good character. Applicants will be facilitated with an Irish entry visa to pursue this affidavit. Once in Ireland and the affidavit is produced, the permanent residency will be issued to the applicant and family members.

5 STEPS AND TIMELINE The case can take between 3 6 months. The guidelines below are just an indication of the process and timeline. PHASE I Emcubator case assessment PHASE II PHASE IV MONTH 1 Case Submission to Government of Ireland PHASE III MONTH 4 MONTH 5 Application for Irish entry visa MONTH 6 Issuance of permanent residency STEP 1 Case assessment by Emcubator's entrepreneurial experts and legal advisers STEP 2 Application preparation, documentation, initial fee payment, signing off documents STEP 3 Submission of permanent residency application to the Government evaluation committee STEP 4 Government processing of the application and due diligence checks. STEP 5 Approval in principle. Permanent residency letter is issued by the evaluation committee. STEP 6 Transfer of investment amount in a bank regulated by Irish regulatory authority. STEP 7 Application for Irish entry visa for main applicant and family members. STEP 8 Approval of Irish entry visa for main applicant and family members. STEP 9 Arrival in Ireland and affidavit of good character through our legal advisers. STEP 10 Issuance of permanent residency for main applicant and family members.
