5 NZTE NZTE Beachhead Offices NZTE MPI International Growth Fund Primary Growth Partnership (PGP) New Zealand Beachhead advisors support NZTE's strategy and provide advice and insight to New Zealand businesses to help them grow bigger, better, faster internationally. Targeted and tailored services from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) that help exporters accelerate growth in international markets. A joint venture between government and industry that invests in long-term innovation programmes to increase the market success of the primary industries. Equity investment fund aimed at small to medium sized businesses at the seed and start-up stage of development which have strong potential for high growth. Provides advice and guidance to new and existing Maori businesses. Can help with facilitation, brokerage, mentoring, coaching, problem solving and networking. Up to $25 million providing there is at least matching private sector support, a demonstrable track record and an experienced team. $40 million matched investment with Seed Co- Investment Partners on 1:1 basis into seed or start up high growth NZ businesses; maximum $250,000 in any one company or group; possibility of another $750,000 follow-on. Non-monetary. Available to NZ businesses, excluding investment in financial intermediaries, property development, retailing, mining and hospitality industry businesses. 8 WINZ Modification Grant Provide financial assistance to disabled people to help them gain or retain open employment, by removing barriers. Depends on requirements. Disabled persons may get a Modification Grant if they have a disability that s likely to last at least six months, the modification will help them stay in work or get work, they don t get weekly payments from ACC and they are a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Fund or help fund the following: Modifications to the workplace, such as ramps and handrails Adaption of equipment, such as cordless phones where the equipment will remain with the employer should the employee leave Purchase of specialised equipment necessary to take up or retain work, such as visual aids or computer equipment where the equipment will remain with the employer should the employee leave.
