1 PERSUASION STRATEGY Shouldn t your persuasion strategy be as impressive as your investment strategy?
2 Your pitch is just one of many pitches your potential client will hear over a few days. How can you differentiate your approach from your competitors so that your presentation stands out in a way that is received as authentic and engaging? And, how can you help ensure it will prompt a positive response from your potential client? Part of the answer is to: identify what is not working with your existing strategy, and then to let go of comfortable and familiar patterns that don t work anymore A time-effective way of learning about new and more vibrant approaches is to commit to a custom-tailored persuasion strategy that makes the best of your expertise and passion. The journey from presenter to persuader has four distinct phases.
3 1. Persuasion strategy pre-work The first stage of creating your custom Persuasion Strategy involves pre-work. You will be asked to review videos and read materials about the art and science of persuasion. Each video and reading has key questions for you to consider - and that: could potentially improve your style to better engage your clients and may cause you to rethink your approach in order to align more clearly with your organization s brand and value proposition.
4 2. Discovery interviews Once the pre-work is completed, Meyler arranges one-on-one discovery interviews with all participants taking part in the persuasion strategy process. There are four objectives: 1. Get to know you. Our coaching is extremely personalized - we seek to build on what you do well and introduce new elements for you to consider incorporating into your unique style 2. Identify challenges, growth areas and skills gaps 3. Review your existing marketing deck and how you use it in your pitches and presentations 4. Help you prepare for the upcoming coaching session

Presentation coaching Our coaching sessions follow a proven and tested format that will introduce you to powerful preparation and presentation techniques and will provide opportunities for each person to receive feedback on several mini-presentations. Clarity boosts confidence. The objective of the one-day persuasive presentations program is to help you develop and hone your presentation skills. You will gain principled persuasion techniques, storytelling and rules of engagement that will build your confidence, engage your audiences and deliver better results. Our objectives are to: Help you clarify the purpose of your presentation Demonstrate how to better analyze an audience and adjust content for your audience Seamlessly incorporate the Meyler Brand Strategy elements such as the Brand Ambition, Purpose, Values and the Positioning Statement strategically throughout your presentation Encourage you to incorporate relevant stories, anecdotes and metaphors to foster engagement Increase your ability to generate attention by creating curiosity Show you how to manage your presentation time effectively Help you develop effective openings and conclusions Explain how to use your marketing deck in a minimalistic, yet professional way Demonstrate the value of congruent body language Encourage you to be innovative with the delivery and presentation of content Each participant will receive a detailed session workbook filled with examples, techniques, presentation and storytelling templates and tools.
6 4. Coaching support It is unrealistic to expect that you (and your colleagues) will be able to integrate all these new persuasion techniques into your approach overnight. Our experience has shown that you will need between two to ten support / coaching calls as you begin to experiment with new ideas and techniques. Your participation in the program entitles you to ongoing coaching support and if possible, we ll arrange with you to capture and send us videos of your actual presentations to clients. We ll provide you with objective feedback, explaining what s working and what could be improved during our coaching support calls. As you complete the coaching support phase, your persuasion strategy will be as sophisticated and effctive as your investment strategy.
