This enhances the beauty of the natural stone and creates a uniform finish. Limestone has very little shade variation between the stones, therefore adding to the simple elegance of the paving. Extremely tough, hard wearing, water resistant, non-slip and non-porous, limestone is ideal for countless internal and external paving and hard landscaping applications. Samples and stock photos available on request. Over time, black limestone will fade to a lovely steel grey colour. To preserve the deep black colour the limestone will need to be sealed with an impregnating sealer such as Lithofin MN Colour Intensifier. Apply after a period of dry weather six weeks or more after installation. Note: needs sealing with a solvent-based impregnator

8 14 15 Flagstone Pattern Ideas Patio packs from Green Garden Paving are designed to be laid in a random pattern. Random patterns do not have any extended straight lines and therefore do not draw the eye to any one particular area of paving making even large areas of paving appear intimate and inviting. We recommend the following tips to ensure a truly random flagstone effect: Do not have four meeting corners Do not have a joint running for more than 3 metres Included here are a selection of example flagstone patterns in a range of popular shapes, each using one patio pack. These patterns are only designed to be a source of inspiration when designing the layout of your paved area. All Green Garden Paving patio packs are modular metric to ensure the slabs can be laid quickly and easily with an equal 10mm joint width. Beware our competitor s products which do not include this feature, as they can result in unsightly variable joint widths and a longer and more complex fixing process. NOT MODULAR METRIC When two smaller flagstones are placed together they are the same width as the larger flagstone, so there is no room for a joint. MODULAR METRIC The combined width of the two smaller sizes is slightly less than the larger flagstone to allow for a joint. Calibrated: How will you save money using our calibrated slabs? All Green Garden Paving slabs are calibrated to a uniform thickness of 25 mm (+/-2mm). All slabs have their back face sawn to ensure the thickness is constant, therefore removing the need to adjust the bed thickness or the requirement for excessive tamping of the slab. This also allows slabs to be laid by the screed bedding method which is a much quicker and cost effective installation process.
