8 GENERAL INFORMATION How long? One semester or one year, depending on your home university s study abroad policy. How much? Exchange students will be paying their tuition to their home university. Exchange students are considered regularly enrolled Sciences Po students, and as such benefit from access to all campus facilities and services. How to validate? Exchange students will usually earn credit for grades obtained at Sciences Po, as they will be fully integrated within the Sciences Po student body Which campus? Sciences Po s main campus is located in Paris, but it is also possible to study at one of the 6 other campuses located in major French cities.

10 ORGANISATION OF STUDIES Students in the Undergraduate Exchange Programme will have up to 14 or 16 hours of class per week. A lecture is composed of a cours magistral (2h/per week) in a group of 100 or more students and a conference in smaller groups of 25 students, which meets once a week for two hours. Seminar courses are made up of two hours of teaching per week. These courses place a strong emphasis on written expression. Evaluation is by continuous assessment during the semester. strongly recommended for all non-francophone students to take a French language course. Students can pick one sports class per semester (2 credits).

11 COURSE REGISTRATION International students should have their programme and course choices approved by their home university All first choices cannot be guaranteed Our course enrollment procedure operates on a first-come, firstserved basis Students to pre-select and have validated several course options for each subject matter Registration for your academic courses online on the Sciences Po website each year: - At the beginning of July for the fall semester -At the beginning of January for the spring semester On line video and pdf document available

12 ACADEMIC RULES Attendance in class is mandatory No Add and Drop Policy Students must be vigilant of their exam dates and respect these obligations by being present at any midterm or final exams. Sciences Po uses also the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) Grading at Sciences Po is on a scale of 0 to 20.

13 CERTIFICATE IN SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES (CSSH) over the course of two semesters, attempt 60 ECTS credits and succeed in earning at least 45. To obtain a one-semester version of the CSSH, the student must attempt 30 credits and succeed in earning at least 20 of these.
