1 Wall Lining Systems Quick, simple and cost-effective to use, the Speedline dry wall liner is suitable for internal use in all commercial and domestic applications. It can be used to dry line masonry backgrounds, uneven walls or walls with surface-fixed services, for concealing services, cavity walls and where the cavity width between the wall and the back of the plasterboard lining ranges from 25 to 180mm. 3 Wall Lining Systems Wall Liner System By replacing the wet trade alternative, with all the Speedline partition and quality system offers practical, cost-effective lining to meet the needs of fast-track building methods. It also has a low thermal capacity with a crack-resistant surface so paint or ceramic tiles can be applied directly. Compatible with all our partition and suspended ceiling systems, wall liner can be used with a range of gypsum wallboards and thermal laminates to line brick, block and concrete walls that are reasonably dry and protected within the building envelope. It creates a void for services, mineral wool can be incorporated for thermal or acoustic insulation. It is also an excellent system for levelling poor quality blockwork. 4 Partitioning Systems Construction Establish the depth of the cavity and fix wall liner track WL60 at 600mm centres to the floor and ceiling with the shallow leg towards the wall. At max 800mm centre,fix brackets AWL03, AWL04 or AWL08 to the wall. Cut Wall Liner Section WL507 to length and slot it into the top and bottom track. Adjust brackets to suit board tolerances before final tightening, then fix with self-drilling screws to the side of the Wall Liner Section. If a bracket protrudes beyond the face, simply bend the overhang over. Fix plasterboard using correct length drywall screws. Fixtures Heavy or medium to heavy fixtures such as heating units, radiators, cupboards and washbasins must be fixed with proprietary anchors which are long enough to pass through the cavity and penetrate the masonry background to a suitable depth. They are designed to be installed clear of a variety of existing backgrounds. Dry lining reinforced concrete walls, steel framed walls and renovation work where existing walls may form an unsuitable substrate for other systems. Walls must be treated for any damp before installation. The sections can be used in combination with a range of gypsum wallboards and thermal laminates to line reasonably dry and protected brick, block and concrete backgrounds. This system should not be used to isolate dampness or in persistently humid environments Wall Furring System Product Code WF559 Product Description Wall Furring Section x 0.5mm Construction The Speedline Wall Furring Section (WF559) is fixed into place using dabs of general purpose adhesive approximately 200mm long at 450mm centres. Wall Furring (WF559) must be fitted horizontally at the floor and ceiling. The vertical lengths of sections must be fitted at 600mm centres.
