McKinney Abstract: Advisors are always talking about assessments. But, they can help your organization and help you become more effective if you utilize them in your organization. This interactive session will give you some tips on implementing these tools. Goals: 1. Participants will understand the difference between assessment and evaluation. 2. Participants will learn why we assess. 3. Participants will learn elements of an effective Student Government. 4. Participants will be able to write an evaluation and assessment. 5. Participants will have the opportunity to see a sample evaluation and assessment. Once you have your schedule set, you will create an evaluation and assessment to measure your outcomes. You have 10 minutes to complete this task. Goals & Purposes To review the SGA Constitution for clarification. To build trust and camaraderie among and between SGA Members. To review learn parliamentary procedure.

Executive Summary 29 students registered to participate in the 27 students actually participated in the 2 individuals had family emergencies. A meeting will be held to determine if students will be charged for expenses. 27 students completed the assessment/evaluation. The entire evaluation is attached for your review if needed. This represents significant highs and lows from the evaluation. Elements rated the highest were: Closing Session Advisor/Member Relationship Session Web-Site Session SGA Calendar Session Financial Session & Camp Fire (Tied) Elements rated the lowest were: Travel to CAMP Camp Parliamentary Procedure Session Dinner CAMP Facility Position Responsibilities Session

To have a good time. 25 of the 27 students felt that they either agreed or strongly agreed they had a good time. 2. To foster communication among and between members of SGA. 23 of the 27 students felt that they either agreed or strongly agreed they felt communication was better in the organization as a result of the 3. To learn more about specific information regarding individual positions/committees within SGA.
