1 Enrichment Clusters Day - Thursday, October 20, st Grade Crazy for Coloring! Cool coloring books are all the craze! You see them everywhere. Coloring can be relaxing as well as fun? If you LOVE to color and want to spend time with some great friends, then this class is for you. We will learn about the history of the coloring book and how crayons are made while we color our time away. Location: Lower School Office Instructor: Mrs. Goad LEGO Challenge Do you love to build with LEGO blocks? Come join your friends for an exciting afternoon of playing and constructing with LEGO blocks. Use your imagination to design and build some really cool structures. Grades: 1st - 2nd (max. 10 students) Location: Mrs. Samuelson s Classroom Instructor: Mrs. Samuelson Frozen CO2 Fun! Calling all scientists who love experiments! Come join your friends and learn many ways to have fun with dry ice. What happens when you mix warm water, dry ice and liquid soap? What happens when you add dry ice to your beverage? It's going to be crazy fun! Location: STEM Lab Instructor: Mrs. Breakfield Games Galore! Do you like to play running games? Do you like relays, group games, music, and movement? If you do, please join us for some action and fun. We will play British Bull Dogs, Shoe Grab, Coin Touchdown, and Hungry Hippos-scooter relay to name a few. All you need is play shoes, a water bottle, and a happy attitude. 2 On A Mission - Flower Power Do you love to help other people? Well, we re on a mission to bring joy to someone s life by creating beautiful flower pots that send a message of God s love. The completed flower pots will be sent with the Shannon Forest 6th Grade students participating in the BRIDGES Program at The Gardens at Eastside to be shared with the residents there. Come share your gift of love and caring for others. Grades: 1st - 2nd (max. 10 students) Location: IGNITE Classroom - Covers flower pot, paint, and flowers Instructor: Mrs. Sellars WACKY WIGGLY SCIENCE What do baking soda, pencils and gummies have in common? Science experiments, of course. Bring your MAD SCIENTIST self to explore the fascinating and surprising world of science as we watch gummies and pencils in action. If that sounds AMAZING, then this is the class for you. No food allergies please. Grades: 1st - 2nd (max. 10 students) Location: TBD Instructor: Mrs. Kelley 2nd Grade Sombrero Cookies! You will learn the history of the Mexican sombrero and see how it's made in real life. You will also learn how to dance the "Sombrero dance". Girls should bring a long flowy skirt and boys a hat and no shame! No food allergies please.
