1 Publicity/Digital Media: ASB President assist the Student Council in poster-making keep the bulletin boards, electronic sign board, and display cases current formulate the announcements for the school bulletin and publicize all weekly athletic schedules and events create power points for forum TV s announcing and showcasing activities should be creative and good at communicating orally and in writing Keep social media up to date with activity information Find new creative ways to publicize events and DO them.

2 Student Body Historians/Video/Digital: ASB Vice President Document school activities and events on film and video tape for use in slide shows and other programs. Maintain a scrapbook (paper or digital) of school events and activities Attend many school events in order to record events Upload pictures to photo bucket after all events Scan local newspaper for local event coverage Have two pages of each event Create videos/display boards for school advertisement Activities to be covered 1 st day of school, 1 st Dance, powder puff, homecoming, club rush, Veterans day, perfect turkey dinner, blood drives, winterfest, winter formal, formal faire, crab feed, elections, prom, tournament of talent, pennies for patients, and more!!

3 Community Service/Fundraising Commissioners: ASB Treasurer Serve as liaison between students wanting to do community service and local volunteer agencies Develop lists of opportunities to volunteer and document hours for each participating student Develop original ideas to service the community for the entire student council every month Supervise student volunteers as appropriate Responsible for organizing Pennies for Patients and March for Babies Keep track of all fundraising projects. Help with money counting and depositing and be involved in all projects. Ideas for monthly community service events: Blood drives (sept, Dec, Feb, April) Coat/clothing drive Dress drive (formal/prom) Caroling Perfect Turkey Dinner can food drive

4 Club Commissioners/Inter Club Reps/Elections ASB Secretary Collect freshman interest cards and communicate with club advisors Keep up to date record of club meetings on calendar Hold monthly inter-club meetings Keep clubs updated with upcoming events Collect and file club minutes for each of their meetings Responsible for Club Rush week in August Elections Responsible for conducting elections for fall and winter homecoming royalty Must produce fliers and posters announcing and explaining elections Will coordinate and run ASB officer elections in the spring and any additional elections should an office need to be filled. This includes preparing ballots, communicating with staff, manning polling places. Create new ways to get people to show up for elections and voting

5 SBO/Renaissance serve as liaison between Student Body Office Store and the student council help with inventory of spirit items in store and coordinating ASB sales and events This student must enroll as TA in SBO for one period during the school day. Act as student representative to all Renaissance meetings Coordinate all Renaissance activities (quarter incentives and crab feed) Assist in the SBO each quarter when Renaissance activities are happening (recruit help in passing out stickers each quarter) Assist in setting up and working all Renaissance activities Activities / Spirit Commissioners:

6 ASB President Will be responsible for planning activities for summer retreat Will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all ASB school wide activities, including rallies, lunchtime activities, and homecomings. Hold bi weekly meetings with the Red Sea; collect ASB club permission slips for Red Sea members; coordinate activities for the Red Sea at games, rallies etc. Help with rally and game posters Wear red, white and blue every Friday Create new ways to encourage students to attend all athletic activities

7 Student/Staff Connections ASB VP Oversee Staff Patriot Pal program What are Patriot Pals? It s a secret pal that you have for the entire school year. This will be someone that you can do little things for and put a smile on their face (especially when needed). This could be a note, snack, card, cd, present, gift card, etc... There s no set schedule or rules, but once a quarter is required. You will reveal yourself to your Patriot Pal the last week of school. Each student will get to CHOOSE 1 teacher or staff of choice. The rest will be assigned. Recognize Staff of the Month - Chosen by students Get certificates by the 15 th of every month - 1st month September Keep monthly nominations Get 10 NEW Student of the Months per month Get certificates delivered by 15 th of the month Post monthly birthdays of students in the activity bulletin
