26 Conclusions One of the things that more differentiates an academic development from an industry one is the large number of career opportunities that you can reach. Pharmaceutical industry might become one of the more convenient places to work for a medical oncologist with high interest in research and open mind thoughts. When working at pharmaceutical industry you are not giving up your background as medical oncologist. In fact, you are working for patient care from another perspective. Moreover, it is more likely that you may help more patient working for the industry that working in a hospital if you do things in the right way.
