A simple but definite action releases the cotter, though it cannot be accidentally knocked or vibrated off. It can be used regardless of the hole position, and replaces other traditional cotter pins in a variety of applications. It is re-usable, speeds assembly time, reduces liability and offers secure fastening with ease of removal. The Bow-Tie Locking cotter snaps into a locked position by either pushing or pulling it into the hole. If positioned in a hole near the end of a shaft, the cotter stays locked even if flipped over the end and to the other side of the shaft. The distance it protrudes from the shaft is the same as with a standard Hair Pin Cotter. The curved cotter leg provides 3 contact points with the hole, keeping the cotter snug. 9 Klik Rivet-Nuts Can be used in a wide range of applications and are designed to provide a very efficient and cost-effective method of placing permanent threads in thin materials. Installed from one side, rivet nuts are perfect for use in metal, fiberglass and rigid plastic previously too thin for tapped threads. Provide a neat appearance and once in place, the internal threads are ready for a screw or bolt. Rivet nuts provide permanent, captive threads that do not allow loosening under vibration and will not rotate when attached to the mating material. Large diameter heads can be used in soft materials which inherently offer little, if any thread strength. The flathead design provides the most bearing surface for higher torque applications. The larger flange extends above the material in which it is installed and provides a built-in spacer.
