No special software is required, only a computer with an Internet browser, such as Explorer or Safari. Follow the steps below to see your graphs and logs:. Plug temperature sensor in jack on right hand side of grey box. A splitter is used for more than one temp sensor.. Screw on antenna. (Don t cross thread the connector) number.. Install small four-pin jack on power supply into receptacle on grey box. 4. Plug black transformer into wall socket. 5. Once cell tower reception is established, press A and Scroll Down keys to load in your cell phone number. Delete the existing cell phone number and key-in your cell number.

In the event of an alarm, all the numbers are sent a text message alarm. The location of the device is normally associated with the cell phone number on the SIM card. This function allows entering a character alpha and numeric name like PharmaWest4. The two dry contacts frequently monitor freezer and refrigerator doors and alarm if the door is left open for a certain time. If the value is set to zero, there is no delay. A submenu function enables the contacts operation. The value is minutes until an alarm is activated. 4 Main Menu, Continued High and Low Temperature Alarm Values 6 High Alarm: 86F )Change This screen sets the trip values of temperature. To cancel the alarm the value must be greater (or less) the trip value by one degree. Setting Negative Temperature Values High temp above 0? )Yes ) No This sub screen allows negative values to be entered. If the Yes is selected a minus sign is automatically inserted. CAUTION: if you forget your password, you will have to call tech support to have a compete upload of the rmware done. There is no back-door method. Select either value. The arrows indicate which is currently selected. Send Test Message Send Test Message 9 Select numbers -5 Go to Sub Menu 0 Options A test Text Message can be sent to any of the five cell phone numbers. Select zero to see more setup options. You can press zero at any time in the Main Menu to go to the Sub Menu. Sub Menu Maintenance Mode Maintenance Mode City Power Monitor City Pwr Alarm This mode permits alarms from being transmitted to all ve cell phone numbers. In this mode, alarms are only sent to the rst cell phone number. An hourly warning message is sent. After 8 hours, Maintenance Mode is automatically discontinued. If the device senses that city power has failed an alarms is transmitted to all ve cell phone numbers. Batteries operate the device and last a total of 5 hours. 4

5 Sub Menu, Continued Battery Low Alarm Battery Low Alarm Contact Alarm Enable Contact Alarm Enable 4 Contact (and ) 5 When the device cannot receive City Power, it reverts to long life than 0 hours the unit will send an alarm that it will soon be completely inactive. The contact alarms (normally closed) can be prevented from alarming with this menu. UDP (Data Transfer) Logging 6 UDP Logging Enabling this function starts the device sending hourly logs and alerts to a server database. Call Tech Support to set up your user name and password. 7 SMS (Text Messaging) Alarms SMS Alarms The is the principal alarm method. This function is normally used when setting up a device and is otherwise left on. 8 Daily Message Daily Message This function lets you know that the device is in contact with a cell tower and can receive the system time from it. It will send 9 0 Keypad Lock Maintenance Mode Alarm Buzzer Alarm Buzzer Use this mode to block accidental setting of passwords in the Main Menu. 6 Silent Mode Silent Mode The device beeps when sending logging data and SMS Alarms. Enabling this function stops the beeping. 5

6 Adding or Replacing Temperature Sensors Up to four temperature sensors can be used. A splitter is required- factory supplied. Each sensor has a unique (internal) address and must be discovered by the unit in order to be displayed. Without discovering the sensors, no data will appear. Discovering Sensors Press the A key. Shows top menu. Press the 0 (zero) key. Shows submenu menu. Scroll down using the C key until the menu shown below appears. Add Wired Sensor Menu Add Wired Sensors? ) Yes Discovery Finished Found 4 Sensors Added sensors This menu will starts the discovery function. Sensors have been found. Logging begins after return to top menu. 4 Press the D twice to return to the scrolling menu. Set temperature limits for alarm functions. 6

7 Wiring Sensor Cable and Door Sensors Door Position Sensors - Up to two can be connected. Door sensors are the normally open (NO) Antenna (included) Internal back-up batteries. Wall Power 9vdc (included) This power supply also acts as the City Power Monitor 50 ft. Install temperature sensor cable in RJ- jack Multiple Temperature Sensors using Splitter. Sensor One Sensor Two Third goes to RJ- jack on control box. 7

8 Battery Back Up Operation There are two internal batteries that keep the Climate Monitor running when city power is lost. The batteries last for 4 hours or more. When they are exhausted, they must be replaced with CRA cells which are available at Wal-Mart. Testing the City Power Alarm Unplug the wall transformer from the power receptacle. The display should go dim as the unit starts to conserve battery power. After two minutes, you should receive a text message alarm. Setting Temperature Delay Alarm Function A typical use for this delay is to ignore routine periodic defrost cycles in walk-in fridges. A heater on a timer stops the refrigeration unit and turns on the heater. This causes the temperature to rapidly rise as the evaporator ice melts. The heater is then tuned off and normal operation resumes. This setting permits a time setting of 0-99 minutes to ignore temperature alarms. Press A to get to top menu.
