3 BRG KÖRÖSI 2D HISTORY The Pyramids Great Buildings of a Great Civilisation The Pyramids by Jessica TRUMMER The pyramids in Ancient Egypt were built by farmers. The highest pyramid was the one of pharaoh Khufu. It was 143 meters high. The sides of the pyramids were 230 meters long. They needed more than 2 million stone blocks to build the pyramids. All stones weighed about 2000 kilograms. The Egyptians needed 100,000 men to build the highest pyramid. The men took more than 20 years to build the pyramid. When a pharaoh died, they wrapped his body into bandages and put him into a tomb. Before that they took all the organs out of his body. They put jewellery, food and clothes into his tomb because they believed that the spirit of the pharaoh woke up and lived on. And they thought that the pharaohs needed those things in their next life. I like the Ancient Egyptians very much. The pyramids by Lirian SPAHIJAJ In Egypt the pyramids were 143 meters high and 230 meters long. 100,000 men worked to build them. The stones weigh about 2,000 kilograms. The pharaoh was wrapped in bandages when he died. The men carried him into the pyramid. The pyramids by Timo TRAMPITSCH The pyramids are thousends of years old. The pyramids were about a hundred meters high. One stone had two tons and the pyramids had thousands of stones. The pyramids stood in the desert. The men built steps inside the pyramid. They built one pyramid in 20 years. The pharaohs were buried in the pyramids. They put the pharaoh into the pyramid. The pharaoh was wrapped in bandages. The men gave the pharaohs jewellery and a lot of gold. The gave the phaaroh food and drinks. The gave him swords. They put him into a sarcophagus. The Pyramids by Marcel LE The Egyptians had many pyramids, a popular pyramid is the Cheops pyramid. The Cheops pyramid is 146,6m high and 230,3 m long. 5 The Ancient Egyptian Religion by Saya NALI So, today I would like to tell you about the Egyptian Religion. I hope you like it : ). The Egyptians believed in many gods. So I will show and tell you about them. First there was Osiris. He was the god of the underworld and he was a fertility god too. In ancient Egypt the gods could be mean and also nice. When the people died they went to him. Of course Osiris had a wife too. His wife was Isis. She was also his sister.. I know, a little bit strange but in Ancient Egypt people could marry their own brother or sister. Religion in Ancient Egypt by Lena WOLFGER In Ancient Egypt religion was very important for the Egyptians. The believed in many gods. The most famous was Osiris and his wife Isis. Osiris was the god of the afterlife and the underworld and the dead but also of fertility. The difference between fertility and death was very important for the Egyptians. His wife Isis was the goddess of the dead too. The most important god was Ra the sun god. You can recognize (=erkennen) him on his sun disk on his head and his falcon head. Yes so much for Osiris, Isis and Ra. But there were a lot more gods and they were also important perhaps not as important but important. For the Egyptians the judgment of the dead was also important. It was cruial to be a good human otherwise you were eaten by Ammit, a monster that liked eating you! Okay that s what I wanted to tell you about the religion of the Egyptians! Bye! Religion by Marcel LE The Egyptians had a religion. They had many gods, e.g. Ra, Osiris, Anubis and Isis. Ra is the sun god, Osiris is the god of fertility, Anubis the god of the dead and Isis is the sister of Osiris and his wife. Some Egyptian Gods by M. Linder 4
