Virtualgeo was established in 1994 to carry on the research and development activity, relating to geomatics, started by Studio Topografico Canevese in 1985 to support topographic survey, as well as environmental and architectural designing. The work of GeomaticsCUBE s computer scientists and mathematicians aims at developing ever more effective and productive software technologies for surveyors, as well as for sector scientists and designers. 3 << new version The revolution continues included CloudCUBE is a software tool on AutoCAD platform conceived to exploit best the potentialities of the most advanced survey technologies (lidar, radar, bathymetric sonar) and the traditional measurement methods (GPS, total station). CloudCUBE combines traditional 2D and 3D graphic representation techniques with a revolutionary approach to point clouds to produce effective and productive three-dimensional models. CloudCUBE 2011 new release is increased with the visualization power of the new EasyCUBE software technology. EasyCUBE is a simple tool that combines high viewer performances with particular functionalities to carry out dimensional and shape deformation analysis, as well as visual simulation pictures and films, even stereoscopic. 04/05

16 FULL: for surveyors FULL version of CloudCUBE is composed of all the modules of the software. It is conceived for the surveyors that want to integrate, with work quality upgrade, the traditional surveys with surveys carried out with lidar instruments. With CloudCUBE the final result is not more only plans, elevations or sections. The final result can be the 3D model itself, created on point clouds. The 3D model can be produced with the desired detail, few polygons, and remarkable reduction of time for extracting dimensional information (plans, elevations, sections, axonometric views) or for communication purposes (virtual reality, rapid prototyping). ARCHITECT: for designers ARCHITECT version of CloudCUBE software is composed of the functionalities of MANAGER, DRAW II, and 3D UTILITIES modules. It is a simple-to-use product to visualize or manage point clouds, perform dimensional inquiries, carry out a survey on point clouds etc. Moreover, ARCHITECT allows to automatically produce plans, elevations, sections, axonometric and cutaway views of the surveyed object on the 3D model provided by surveyors (which can be produced with FULL version of CloudCUBE) to obtain in real time all the necessary dimensional information and graphic representations.
