4 Key Learning Objectives 1. Understand the current Canadian directions in seniors mental health promotion in public education, clinical practice, research and advocacy 2. Appreciate the alignment of national mandates (CAGP/ CCSMH/ CMA) and need for collective leadership by our field in building momentum for healthy aging in Canada 3. Learn about key opportunities to contribute to help build momentum for optimal aging and Positive Psychiatry in Canada, and beyond
5 FoH: Alignment With growing senior population, there has been an international call effective seniors mental wellness promotion, including from: WHO & Age Friendly communities Mental Health Commission National Guidelines CMA Demand a Plan/ National Seniors Strategy Alzheimer Society (Rising Tide document) CCSMH mandate; Bold for the Old Forum CAGP mission and vision.
