1 FAQ: All you need to know Q: What are the Mas Camp s opening hours? A: Fusion s Mas Camp is open Tuesday to Friday, 2pm 8pm. Saturday, 1pm 11pm and Sunday, 12pm 6pm. Q: Where is Fusion Mas Camp located? A: Location will be released in July. Q: Where can I view Fusion Mas costumes? A: Costumes are on display in the mas camp and may also be viewed online at Q: When is costume registration? A: Costume registration is available online from July 5th and will also be available in the mas camp from August 2nd. Q: What do I need for costume registration? A: For registration, you need the following: Size Information: Ladies: Bra Size (34A, B, C,) Bottom Piece Size (S, M, L) Ladies: Bra Type (Regular Bra, Bra Ladies: Bottom Piece option (Regular, Boy Shorts, Spider, High Waist) Men: Waist Size (in inches) Custom pieces please refer to the individual section leader for information Down payments: All Registrations require a minimum of $150 deposit Cash, Credit Card or PayPal will be accepted online and in the mas camp. Always register at the FUSION Mas Camp or via to ensure that your registration is valid. (you are responsible for processing fee) Final Payment: All costumes must be paid off before September 30th.

2 Q: Can I order extra items with my costumes? A: Different sections may have different additional options. Costumes may come with options for larger headpieces, backpacks etc. at an additional cost. These options will be detailed on the individual section page, along with the cost attached. Q: I ve purchased a costume from another masquerader How do I transfer the costume to my name? A: Fusion Mas does not facilitate costume transfers. Please ensure you receive a letter from the original costume owner authorizing you to collect on their behalf. Q: I m unable to collect my costume Can another person collect on my behalf? A: Yes, you must provide the person collecting with a signed letter authorizing the new owner to collect the costume on their behalf, accompanied by a copy of the original owner s ID. Alternatively the original owner can send an authorization fusionmas@yahoo.com from the address attached to their costume/registration. Q: When do I collect my costume? A: The costume distribution schedule will be ed to all masqueraders and posted to our website. The final date of costume distribution is Saturday October 8th, after which all uncollected costumes are no longer available and can be resold. Q: When do I need to pay for my costume? A: Your down payment must be paid upon registration, otherwise your order will be incomplete and immediately cancelled. Costumes must be paid in full by September 30th. Q: How can I pay for my costume? A: We accept Cash, Money Order, Bank Transfer PayPal and Credit Cards (you are responsible for processing fee). Checks are not accepted for payment. Q: I ve collected my costume but it does not fit, what do I do? A: Contact the section leader for your section and they will assist in issues pertaining to your costume. Q: What do I get when I come to Costume Distribution? A: You will receive your costume in full, wristband for park entry, and any other essentials we will be supplying you with.

A: Send an to fusionmas@yahoo.com requesting to be added to the mailing list. Q: I have not been receiving s from FUSION what can I do? A: Please send an to fusionmas@yahoo.com with your information so that we can update our records with your correct address. We will send a confirmation once your address has been updated. Q: What does Fusion Mas all-inclusive package include? A: The all-inclusive package includes premium alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks, meals, security, & of course your costume. Q: What events do you host annually? A: Fusion hosts an annual thank you party for our masqueraders in November. Q: I would like to play as an individual for Carnival who do I contact? A: Please the Mas Camp at fusionmas@yahoo.com or contact the Mas camp for information on individual costumes. Q: I would like to design my own costume to play with FUSION? A: If you will like to design an individual piece you may contact fusionmas@yahoo.com and we can discuss the possibilities of working together. Q: Where is my section in the band lineup? A: The band lineup will be published in the Member s Guide which masqueraders will receive at costume distribution. Q: I m interested in providing a service / becoming a sponsor of FUSION who do I contact? A: Please us your proposal at fusionmas@yahoo.com. Q: I m having problems making travel arrangements can FUSION assist? A: We will be offering Miami Carnival Packages more info will be available in July.

4 Q: Can my husband/wife/friend jump in the band? A: Fusion only allows paying masqueraders to jump in the band. Non-masqueraders may observe from the sidelines outside the band, however they will not be allowed to participate. To participate they will have to register as a masquerader. Q: What music is played on the road? A: We offers a variety of DJs with different styles to appeal to every masquerader. Q: Where does the band meet? A: The starting point will be distributed with your costume be sure to check your members guide for specifics! Q: What time does mas begin? A: The start time will depend on what number in line we are. That information will be included in your member s guide included in your costume and will be posted on the website. Q: What is J ouvert? A: J ouvert is celebrated on many islands, the celebration involves calypso/soca bands and their followers dancing through the streets. Q: How do I register for Jouvert? A: J ouvert is included with your mas registration. If you have a friend wanting to play j ouvert and not mas, they can register for that separately. Q: Does Fusion provide Jouvert wear? A: You will receive a T-shirt for j ouvert. There are some sections offering bottoms as well but initially you are responsible for your own bottoms Q: When Does J ouvert Start? A: The festival starts about 6 am and goes on throughout the day. Specific start time and meeting place will be included with costume. Q: What can I expect at this event? A: The tradition involves smearing paint, mud or powder on the bodies of participants. Q: How can I easily remove this from my person? A: Before you dress for Jouvert, do like the pros and apply a light coating of baby oil to your

5 entire body. This will help you clean up afterward and prevent the pigments in the various body paints from getting into your pores. Q: What is J ouvert? A: J ouvert is celebrated on many islands, the celebration involves calypso/soca bands and their followers dancing through the streets and is smeared in paint, mud or powder on each others bodies. Q: Does Fusion provide Jouvert wear? A: You will receive a T-shirt for j ouvert. There are some sections offering bottoms as well but initially you are responsible for your own bottoms.
