With this in mind, we have designed a range of products specifically for use in the bathroom. Our low voltage products have a minimum rating of IP44 to give you additional confidence. The connectors on our fittings and distribution blocks on our drivers also have a minimum rating of IP44, meaning they can be located in zone area s of the bathroom rather than having to be sited outside of zones. COB symbol on the product pages Why COB? Enhanced efficiency. Higher light output than SMD LED chips. Longer lifespan. Uniform appearance, no visible individual LED dots, instead, a diffused light. Achieve the same light output as you would from a halogen lamp with a fraction of the energy usage, meaning considerable savings on energy bills if you switch from halogen to LED. Standard LED COB LED Bathroom Zones Using electrical equipment in bath or shower rooms has always needed care to ensure safety. Now the IEE Wiring Regulations (17th Edition) have identified particular zones within the bathroom to indicate what type of electrical equipment can be installed. Zone 1 Zone 1 Zone 0 Zone 0 ZONE 0 1 Inside the bath or shower. Must be SELV (1V max.) due to water submersion. Minimum rating of IP67. 5cm above the bath or shower. Minimum rating of IP44. The area stretching to 60cm outside the bath or shower and 60cm from water outlet of sink. An IP rating of at least IP44 is required. OUTSIDE ZONES. Anywhere outside zones 0, 1 &.
