Day 01: 05 September 2016: Arrive Delhi by Flight TBA Arrive at Delhi International Airport. Please clear immigration and visa formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the arrival lounge through the green channel if you do not have goods to be declared to customs. (No Meals) Day 02: 06 September 2016: Delhi At breakfast, meet THO India team members, Followed by Short Brief of the tour by Tour Manager. Later proceed to mesmerise yourself in the splendid sightseeing tour of New and Old Delhi to witness the legacy of that past survives in the many monuments left behind. Start your tour with drive pass the renowned 17th-century landmark Lal Qila; the Red Fort Palace, Jama Masjid literally meaning the Friday Mosque; India s principal and biggest mosque, Chandni Chowk; Shahjahanabad s Main Street in 1650 facing the majestic Red Fort. It originally had a central canal running down its full length, and when moonlight reflected off the water it got the name Chandni Chowk or Avenue of Moonlight. The canals have long since gone and it is now a chaotically bustling area, typical of real India, containing a mix of stalls, shops, food outlets and temples. Between the mosque and Chandni Chowk is a narrow shop-lined street along which you will be transported by cycle rickshaws on your most photogenic journey of the tour. The locals go shopping here like nowhere else. Visit Jaypee Siddharth for the orientation trip of the 4* hotel we use in Delhi. Later drive past India Gate; that honours the 90,000 Indian soldiers who died in World War, President House and Parliament house followed by Orientation trip to Jaypee Vasant Continental the 5* hotel we use for our clients. Visit the 72 meter high Qutab Tower (12th Century AD)- one of the most perfect tower in the world, nearby amidst the ruins of Quwat- Ul-Eslam Mosque Stands the iron pillar which does not rust and has stood the vagaries of weather for 1500 years. Evening we ll have our welcome dinner Chor Bizzare, one of the finest Indian Cuisine restaurants in Delhi offering Kashmiri Cuisine. It is only at the Chor Bizarre that you can find 'a little bit of this and a little bit of that... In the past it has been called 'a gallery', 'an attic', really clever' and 'quite mad' - all descriptions that sum up the idea of Chor Bizarre. Part art, part kitsch, part imaginative, part contrived - the interiors of Chor Bizarre have been put together with India's finery, frivolity, and sheer joie-de-vivre in mind. Later return to hotel. 3 Day 03: 07 September 2016 Delhi Jaipur (Approximate Distance: 05 Hour s Drive) Morning have orientation tour of hotel Royal Plaza & ITC Maurya. Later Travel to Jaipur, the first planned city of India, is a treasure-trove of culture, art and history, famous for its colour, life style and Rajasthani cuisine. It is a city exuding royal heritage and extravagant richness. The historic city also has many temples and shrines. Arrive Jaipur and check in at hotel. Late afternoon proceed for the walking tour of the bazaars of Old Jaipur. From its creation in 1727 the royal families and nobles of Jaipur patronised the craftsman and artisans of the city and the traditions continue to this day making Jaipur the crafts capital of India. You'll be able to observe the artisans at work and visit a local resident in his private haveli, which is beautifully decorated with gold paintings, rich tapestries, carpets and artefacts. This evening proceed towards the house of an Indian family for a nice authentic cooking experience. Join the Kitchen of Rajput Family, where house lady members will participate during the cooking session. Learn the art of Indian Cooking today as you watch royal recipes being cooked in your presence. It s all about typical home-style Indian cooking where you can choose to participate in the cooking or merely watch and learn. Indian cooking is a diligent process involving a unique combination of various ingredients such as spices, pluses, grains and oils. Enjoy the fruit of your labour in the form of the Dinner. Stay overnight at Jaipur. (B, D) Day 04: 08 September 2015: Jaipur After breakfast we start our city sightseeing tour with visit to Amber Fort; add a magical touch to the visit by riding on the back of an elephant from the foot hill up to the gates of the fortress in the manner of former kings and queens. We next have an orientation trip of Raj Palace & Narain Niwas Palace Next visit City Palace Museum; boasts to have some of the priceless handwritten Hindu scriptures of the ancient past, miniature delicate paintings, preserved painted ceilings and the elephant saddles (haudas), and is registered in the Guinness Book of Records to contain the biggest silver objects in the world. Conclude your day with visit to Jantar Mantar; one of the famed observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh is a complex of astronomical instruments, chiselled out of stone which provides fairly accurate information to this day. Return back to the hotel for a brief relaxation, before you proceed to explore Chokhi Dhani Ethnic Village. Chokhi Dhani literally means a fine hamlet i.e. a quintessential village that offers an ideal pastoral experience is a unique Village Resort. Spread over 10 acres of beautifully landscaped area for a rustic look, it is dotted with Machaans & platforms where different folk artists perform concurrently. A village fair is created every evening as an ongoing celebration of the rich & vibrant cultural heritage of Rajasthan. Live dance and music performance all through the evenings is one of the major attractions at Chokhi Dhani Village. Few visitors can t resist the temptation to join the artistes and dance with the music. The magic show, the puppet show, acrobatics on a bamboo without the protection of a safety net beneath, the astrologer, the fortune teller parrot all makes the visitors spellbound. The Chokhi Dhani Village also has a photo studio with traditional look, a national art and craft market, a museum and many more places showing rajasthani village culture, villagers' lifestyle with a dining hall, renowned for the mouth-watering and typical Rajasthani food. 4 Day 05: 09 September 2016: Jaipur Agra (Approximate Distance: 05 Hour s Drive) Morning have orientation tour of hotel Golden Tulip and ITC Rajputana. Later drive to Jaipur visiting Abhaneri Village where you will visit one of the architectural marvel in Chand Baori (Stepwell). Abhaneri, an ancient village in Rajasthan is renowned for its post-gupta or early medieval monuments, Chand Baori one of the largest stepwells in India and Harshat Mata temple. Chand Baori, one of the deepest and largest stepwell of India, is an architectural delight. The stairs at the three sides of baori, taking you down to water level makes an eye catching geometrical pattern, while the fourth end is covered with three storied pavilion with beautiful carved Jharokhas, enshrining amazing sculpture work, which definitely will leave you spellbound. Post visit continue with drive to Agra, upon arrival check in at hotel. Evening relax at hotel. Stay overnight in Agra (B, D) Day 06: 10 September 2016: Agra Delhi (Approximate Distance: 04 Hour s Drive)/ Departure (Flight TBA) Early morning pay Sunrise visit to Taj Mahal - the epitome of love, stands on the banks of the river Yamuna built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan. The Taj attracts millions of tourists from all over the world. To experience the beauty of this architectural marvel, it needs to be viewed at different times of the day and year. The white marble building changes its hue with the variations in the daylight. Made entirely of white marble and decorated with exquisite pietra dura (stone inlay) work, different types of precious and semi-precious stones were used in the intricate inlay work done on the interiors. This magnificent monument is built around a Charbagh or four garden plan, split by watercourses reflects the influence of Persian architectural style. Post visit return to hotel for breakfast. Later check out and have orientation tour of hotel Jaypee Palace, ITC Mughal and Clarks Shiraz. After orientation tour visit Itimad-Ud-Daulah the first tomb to be built in white marble instead of red sandstone which marks the departure from the red sandstone buildings of Mughal architecture. This memorial was built by the Mughal Emperor Jehangir s queen as a memorial to her father. The tombs sheer beauty will surprise you - the only reason it does not get more accolades is because it shares the stage with the incomparable Taj Mahal. Like the Taj it has amazingly intricate Pietra Dura inlay and lattice marble screens. The mausoleum rests in a walled garden with a view of the river Yamuna. Constructed in the year 1628, most historians believe that its design provided the inspiration for the Taj Mahal.
