1 Lynelle L. Abel is Director of Volunteer and Guest Services at Yale- New Haven Hospital. Additionally, she oversees the Surgical Family Lounge, Information Desks and Ambassador Services. Kaitee Bell-Doll is the Volunteer Services Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator and photographer at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center (CGRMC). Lindsey Bicker Bock is a Senior Manager with the Strategic Coaching team at Prevention Partners. Her Master of Public Health is from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. Jennifer J. Boese is VP of Federal Affairs & Advocacy at the Wisconsin Hospital Association(WHA). She directs WHA s federal relations and advocacy operations. Furthermore,she works to develop political advocacy initiatives. Prior to that, she worked in Washington, DC for the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. She has presented on policy, the health care environment, government affairs and advocacy umpteen times over the course of her career and has been frequently published. She is a graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is pursuing her Master s of Science in Management, Leadership and Strategy at Michigan State University. Doug Boser is the President and CEO of Boser Construction, Inc. and Inventure Properties. Doug and his wife Tanya started Boser Construction in the basement of their home in 1996 with three employees. Boser began volunteering for the CentraCare Health Foundation in 1998 as a Holly Ball gala committee member. 2 Mary Brown is Program Manager of Volunteer & Guest Services at Backus Hospital located in Norwich, Connecticutt. Mary supports Backus Hospital by providing volunteer service opportunities to community residents in a proactive approach to ensure optimal experiences for all. Furthermore,she served on the AHVRP Legislative Advocacy Committee, Nominations and served a 3-year term on the AHVRP Board of Directors responsible for the Publications and Webinars. Fernanda Clariana is Volunteer Program Coordinator at Yale-New Haven Hospital. In this role, she is responsible for the implementation of numerous volunteer programs and the creation of an in-house training and certification program in Reiki Level 1 available for Oasis For Healing volunteers and hospital staff. Fernanda has been an active member of (AHVRP), Connecticut (CADVSH) and New England (NEADHVS) associations since She holds a Bachelor s degree in Visual Communication and Design from The National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and a Master s degree in Organizational Leadership from the Graduate Institute, Connecticut. Gene Collovecchio Christopher Dang is an attorney with Quarles and Brady LLP practicing health and life sciences law. His experience includes assisting health care practices and businesses in matters related to corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, vendor contracting, day-to-day operations, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback compliance, recordkeeping, information privacy, and labor and employment issues, counseling physicians on employment and shareholder agreements, compensation, hiring and termination negotiations, and general practice issues, assisting chain, regional, and independent pharmacies in complying with practice of pharmacy, supply chain, new technology, controlled substance, business licensing regulations, and multi-jurisdiction compliance issues. Chris earned his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Arizona and is admitted to practice in the State of Arizona. Joseph Dooley, CAVS as Chief, Voluntary Service at the Bedford, MA Veterans Hospital on May 30 th, 2015 following 36 years of civil service. He currently volunteers at the Manchester, NH VAMC. He also serves as a member of the NH Association of Hospital Auxiliaries and Volunteers. Mr. Dooley served on the ASDVS Board from as Professional Development Chair. He served as President of the New England Association in Mr. Dooley served on the AHA Committee on Volunteers from Joe was recognized with the Award of Excellence by VA in 2005, NEADHVS in 2006 and AHVRP in Joe received his BA from Johnson State College in Johnson, VT. He was among the first group of healthcare volunteer directors to be credentialed as Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services. Barb Farmer serves as Manager of Volunteer Services at Dignity Health, Chandler Regional Medical Center & Mercy Gilbert Medical Center located in Chandler-Gilbert, Arizona. She s a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where she started as a volunteer and continues to volunteer with her lovable retriever, ScooterPie. Barb has been a member of AHVRP for 9 years. Kristy Fidler is Director of Volunteer Services at Charleston Area Medical Center for a 4 hospital (908 beds) health system serving central & southern West Virginia. She is responsible for managing 300+ volunteers whom support patients & families in the largest not-for-profit hospital in her state. Ms.Fidler has been a member of AHVRP since 2013 and the West Virginia Society of Directors of Volunteer Services (WVSDVS) since Fidler currently functions as President Elect for WVSDVS. She has a Bachelor s in Psychology from West Virginia University. Naomi Griffin is Supervisor of Volunteer Services at Dignity Health, Chandler Regional Medical Center & Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Naomi has been a gift shop supervisor for 23 years and has been with Dignity Health for the past 2 years. Naomi was a member of AHVRP and AzSVAH for 3 years while working as a volunteer coordinator and gift shop manager. Deborah Gurney is the Celebrate Seniority Supervisor and Team Lead for Volunteer Services, Deborah manages a senior wellness program with over 6,000 members, serving 3 counties. She has 21 years experience in volunteer coordination and program management. Graduating with a Bachelor s of Science, Deborah realized her passion and respect for volunteers early on; it is this through line that has guided her professional career. Deborah is on the Puyallup Area Aging in Place Coalition, overseeing their Annual Community Volunteer Fair. She volunteers for the Washington Native Plant Society, the Auburn Humane Society and her church. Robert Z. Hamm, Jr.,known to many as Bob Hamm, has been the Director of olunteer Services at OU Medical Center for 8 years. He was a Gift Shop Manager and a Gift Shop Assistant Manager. Bob has been a member of the Central Oklahoma Society of Directors of Volunteer Services, Oklahoma Society of Directors of Volunteer Services, and AHVRP for 8 years. He has been a board member for Food and Shelter, Inc. for 3 years and is serving his second term as Treasurer. Sandra Haskell is Director of Volunteer Services and Community Relations at Robinson Memorial Hospital located in Ravenna,Ohio.Sandra directs the management of 500+ volunteers, including a pet partner program, Auxiliary, pastoral care and gift shop. Her responsibilities also include community outreach involving Red Cross blood drives, an Art Reflections Program and children educational programming. Ms.Haskell served for two years on AHVRP s Retail Operations Committee, assisting in the creation of the Health Care Retail Calendar and Monthly Planner. Sandra has a degree in Business and Organizational Communications from The University of Akron, where she taught in their School of Communications. Melissa Heinlein- Storti, CAVS, is Chief of Voluntary Service at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She serves as Education Co-Chair of Delaware Valley Association for Volunteer Administrators (DVAVA). Furthermore,Melissa is a PhD-Candidate of Human Development/Health Promotion. She holds a Master s of Arts in Communication Studies and Master s of Science in Administration of Human Services.Heinlein-Storti is a Certified Mentor at Department of Veterans Affairs. Michael Janniere, JD is the director of total rewards for the American Hospital Association (AHA). Michael has more than 19 years of Human Resources experience. In this capacity, he leads and oversees the design and strategy of total rewards at the AHA and is responsible for the development of compensation, wellness and benefit strategies that align to the organization s human capital goals and supports business objectives. Carolyn Kadyk leads a team of 22 people and manages a Volunteer Services program of over 3,100 volunteers, 4 gift shops and a senior membership program. Carolyn has 15 years of business experience in marketing and communications, including 8 years in healthcare, focusing on community health and volunteer management. She holds a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication, Whitworth College; a Masters in Organizational Leadership and Executive Certificates in Organizational Development and Public /Non-profit Leadership from Chapman University. She is an active volunteer on a foundation board and with Rotary. Lauren Lele, is Director of Volunteer and Temp Team Services at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She has been in the field of hospital volunteer management for 24 years. 5 Eileen McConville, CAVS is Director of Volunteer & Auxiliary Services at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Corolina. She oversees all information desks and has 50 paid staff. McConville is on the AHA Committee on Volunteers, the AHVRP Committees of Nominations, Online Education, and CAVS. She is the SHVL Past Secretary & State Rep and the Immediate Past President, Treasurer, Education Committee of NCSDVS. Barbara Muesing is an auxilian and trustee at Essentia Health located in Fosston,Minnesota. Barbara is a retired educator and panelist on Members of AHA Committee on Volunteers. Bob Nelson is a retired college professor and has been volunteering at St. Cloud Hospital since He has contributed more than 2500 hours of service in many volunteer roles, including leadership positions such as serving on the Volunteer Auxiliary Board (currently President Elect) and Chair of the Volunteer Transitions Project. Bob received the MAVA Volunteer of the Year award in Darcy Peary has managed Volunteers for the past ten years at LRG Healthcare. LRGHealthcare consists of two hospitals: Lakes Region General Hospital (LRGH), and Franklin Regional Hospital (FRH), combined they have 310 volunteers. While working in the Education Department for LRGHealthcare, she helped create the volunteer program known as CSI (Caring Student Interns). Her involvement in the CSI program lead her to decide to take the position as Volunteer Coordinator. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Keene State College and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from New England College. She is currently studying for her CAVS certification. Mary Plathe is Volunteer Services Manager at Orange City Area Health System in Orange City, Iowa. Mary is responsible for direction of the health system s volunteer program and the gift shop, including financial management, marketing, merchandising, scheduling and buying. 6 Janene Riedeman is Director of Volunteer Services at St. Cloud Hospital CentraCare Health located in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She oversees hospital, clinic and outreach volunteer programs with 1090 volunteers. Janene has been a member of AHVRP since Joan Ryzner is a Director of Member Relations with the American Hospital Association. In that role, she supports the AHA s Committee on Volunteers, the State Auxiliary Leaders Network and the Hospital Awards for Volunteer Excellence. Joan holds a Master s degree in health administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor s degree in journalism from California State University, Fresno. Barbra Swann has 36 years of management experience in health care. She has managed patient registration, patient relations, school partnership programs, pastoral care, community development and volunteer services. Ms.Swann is employed at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Baltimore, Maryland and is a member of the 12-bed hospice and palliative care team. She developed the Compassionate Companions Program at Howard County General Hospital and created the volunteer hospice program at the VA Maryland Health Care System. Barbra received her BS Degree in Health Education, and Master s in Applied Gerontology from Towson University. Rob Toonkel is Operations Manager of Volunteer Services at Mount Carmel West in Columbus, Ohio.Mount Caramel West is a a 372-bed urban healthcare facility and a recently opened free standing emergency department.
