1 Unit 1. The Fifty States Country: U.S.A. Capital: Washington D.C. Topic: Nature The U.S.A. is made up of fifty states. North Dakota is in the north. You can see the American Indians there. Texas is in the south. You can see the cowboys there. New York is in the east. You can see the huge Statue of Liberty. California is in the west. You can have fun at the amusement park.

2 Unit 2. It s Lunch Time! Country: U.S.A. Popular Animals: Bald Eagle Topic: Culture Ding! Ding! Ding! The bell rings. It's lunch time! We put food on the tray. I like to eat a hamburger. Mike likes to eat a hot dog. He likes to eat cookies, too. Kate likes to have milkshake with a straw. She has a big bite of her hamburger. We like lunch time the best!

3 Unit 3. New Zealand People are Kiwis! Country: New Zealand Capital: Wellington Topic: Culture There are three kiwis in New Zealand. First! It's the kiwi fruit. Kiwi fruits hang on the trees. Many farmers grow juicy kiwi fruits. Second! It's the kiwi bird. Kiwi birds look like kiwi fruits. You can see the kiwi bird in the sign. Third! New Zealand people are called Kiwis. New Zealand people yell out, "We are Kiwis!"

"Baa, baa," daddy and mommy sheep answer. They sound very cute. They are white and fluffy. They look like clouds in the sky. Their fur is so soft. They feel like cotton candy. Sheep are lovely.

It's a fun place. I can run around the pyramid. I can climb to the top. I can go inside. But watch out! There is a scary mummy inside!

What does he have? He carries a staff. He wears a big crown on his head. How does he look? He has a long beard. He wears bracelets on his wrists and ankles.

It has many palm trees. There is a park in the city. The park is full of many plants. Ashley goes to the park every day. She loves to rest on the bench.

It is cool and breezy in the house.

My country has a lot of gold, rubber, and diamonds. Some people come to Ghana to find gold. Gold is shiny and hard. It is under the ground. People dig the ground to find gold. Some people use a shovel. Let's dig and find gold!

14 Unit 14. Many Animals in Ghana Country: Ghana Popular Animals: Green Monkey Topic: Nature I am a yellow butterfly in Kakum National Park. I fly everywhere with my mom and sisters. I have many friends in the park, too. The spotted leopard is lying on the tree. The flying squirrel is jumping down from the tree. The strong elephants are flapping their ears. We are all different, but we are all friends. Kakum National Park is a cozy home for all of us!

Ricardo passes the ball to Diego. Diego shoots! It's a goal! The fans shout with joy. The Argentine people love playing soccer. Even little children love playing soccer. They want to be good soccer players.

Dancers wear special clothes. They look very nice. They hold their hands together. They move back and forth. They stretch their legs, too. Tango is an exciting dance. Shall we dance?

The hot water comes from underground. We put our feet in hot water. We put our hands in hot water. Hmm, it's relaxing. Look at those beautiful pink flowers. They fall softly into water.
