1 Think about things that are green. List five different things that are green and use each of these words in a sentence. Money is a tool that can be used to buy things that we need to survive. What are some ways that you could give your money to people in need? The first week in March is National School Breakfast week. Write about your favorite foods to eat for breakfast. Write about your favorite healthy breakfast foods.

2 Think about a time when you were really lucky. Write about a time when you were lucky and explain how you felt. Think about the different types of weather. Would you rather live in a place that is always snowing or always raining? Explain. Imagine that there were no telephones or cell phones. Write about different ways that you could communicate with people in different places.

3 It is a great feeling to be able to help someone in need. Would you rather help at a homeless shelter or at a hospital? Explain. Imagine that you created a time machine and you could travel to any date in history. Write about when and where you would want to travel. Imagine that another kid is making fun of your best friend. Think about what you would do in this situation. Write about how you would help your friend in a positive way.

4 Basketball is a fun team sport. Write about a basketball memory from your life. Have you ever given someone flowers or had someone give you flowers? Write about a time when flowers were given to someone. Sometimes we eat something or drink something that is really gross! Create a food or drink that would gross out your friends and family.

5 Different cultures have ways to greet other people. Some shake hands and some bow. Write about some new ways that you could greet your friends say hello. Do you love roller coasters or do they make you scared? Write about a time when you went to an amusement park or fair. Imagine that you could be invisible for one day. Explain what you would do if you were invisible for one day.

6 Imagine if you woke up and the sky was green and the grass was blue. Explain what it would be like to live in a world like this. Today is St. Patrick s Day. Imagine that you found a four-leaf clover. Write about the good luck that you might have. Imagine that you were asked to design a new pair of shoes. Draw a picture of these shoes and explain what they can do.

7 Imagine that a package arrived at your front door and it was the size of your house. Write about what this gift could be. Imagine that you found a bottle in the ocean with a note inside. Write what you think this letter might have said. Imagine that a new invention makes it possible to clone yourself and make two of you. Write about what you would do if there were two of you.

8 Pretend that you have a special pencil. When you write something or draw a picture, it comes alive. Draw some pictures and write some sentences as if they were going to come alive. Think about the qualities of bears and bunnies. Are you more like a bear or a bunny? Explain. Imagine that you had a large bird that could fly you around. Write about where you would want the bird to take you.

9 If you could be a part of any TV show, movie or book, which one would you want to be a part of? Explain. It is important to stay safe during thunderstorms and tornadoes. Write about some ways to stay safe during a storm. What is your favorite thing about spring? List some things that you love to do as the weather gets warmer.

10 Imagine if you woke up and money was not worth anything. Write about what it would be like if there was no money. What are some other things that might be worth something or have value? Some animals sleep during the day and go out at night. They are nocturnal. Write about a time when you stayed up really late and slept during the day. Showing respect to other people will help make great friends. Write about some ways that you can show respect to your friends.

11 The President wants you to create a new cereal that kids will love. Explain what would be in this cereal, what it would look like and taste like. Draw a picture of your cereal box.
