1 PAT Manager User Guide The PAT Manager software follows a simple system that flows from left to right on the screen. The steps are Configuration, Site Creation, Download, and Reporting. There is additional functionality included in the program which provides you with various methods to provide your client with the reports that you have generated. Configuration The configurations provide the software with settings and details that you will use in the program for various functions. The configuration menu can be accessed either via the File menu, or by clicking on the Configure icon (circled in red in Fig 1.1) Fig 1.1 The items that NEED to be configured so that results can be downloaded from your PAT tester are Details and PAT Tester Details. The Details section (Fig 1.2) is setup to contain information about your company and who performed the tests. These details can then be used for cross referencing and will appear on any reports that are printed. The PAT Tester Details section (Fig 1.3) is in place so you can specify the make and model of PAT tester as well as the serial number. The serial number will be printed on the reports to allow for cross referencing of details in case problems occur. Both sections need to be filled in before you begin downloading data from your PAT tester as the details will be associated with the data.

3 There are additional configurations that can be done at this time, these are FTP and settings. These settings will allow you to send reports to clients by or put the reports on some web space for the clients to download. These settings are not required before downloading and can be configured at any time. You will need to provide these settings before you attempt to or upload any reports. Fig 1.4

4 Create a Site All downloads need a storage area or Site, which you will need to create. The site details that you will provide are essentially the same as those you would input into your PAT tester with a few extra fields. To create a site firstly click on the Create a Site button (circled in Fig 2.1), which will bring the create site window up, which can be seen in fig 2.2. Fig 2.1 The details that you need to provide are; a storage name which can be the same as the site name that you put into your PAT tester, the location which again is the same as the location you put into the PAT tester (for referencing purposes), the phone number and address of the site for contact purposes. Once you have input all of the relevant information you can then click the Create button to create the site. You can then use this site to download and store your results. Fig 2.2

5 Download Data To download data from your PAT Tester you will need to complete the preceding sections dealing with configuration first. Once you have configured the software you can then download the data. To begin click the download button, circled in Fig 3.1, which will bring up the download window. Fig 3.1 Downloading the data from your tester is now a simple process of selecting the site, COM port, tester, and tester serial no. Once these have been selected press the GO button on the software, you can then start the download process on your PAT tester. Once the download is complete close the window. Fig 3.2

6 Results and Reports To view the results of the download click the View Results button, circled in Fig 4.1. Fig 4.1 Once the window is open double left click the name of the site you want to view and then select the company and testers name from the drop down at the bottom of the screen. To print a report containing detailed result information, ensure you have selected a site and company details and then click the Detailed Results button. This report shows the results from each test performed in a concise and easy to read format. To print a pass/fail report, again ensure you have selected a site and company details and then click the Pass/Fail report button. This report simply shows basic appliance details and whether the appliance has passed or failed overall. Results view can be seen in Fig 4.2

7 Fig 4.2 To update the descriptions, change the retest date and/or print a certificate off for an appliance, simple double left click anywhere along the row that the specific appliance is to bring up the Edit screen (Fig 4.3). Once the details like next test and description have been changed simply click the Update Information button. This will update the details that have been stored and add a description if not previously entered. To generate the certificate simply click the Generate Certificate button. Fig 4.3
