1 Technical specification for SMT PICK & PLACE MACHINE Annexure I Basic requirement: Fully automatic SMT Pick and place system having following specifications. Sr. SMT PICK & PLACE MACHINE No. 1. PCB Size 75(W)*75(L)mm minimum,450(l)*450(w)mm maximum and thickness mm. 2. PCB edge clearance Minimum 3.2mm 3. Fiducials Min 3 nos. of Fiducials for board recognition. Multiple options of type of Fiducials shall be available 4. Vision recognition Digital Vision system 5. Component recognition a) A suitable vision alignment with lighting system capable of handling component size & packages specified shall be provided. The details of the system with significant features, no. of cameras, type of camera, resolution, vision direction etc, to be furnished. b) Vision system for all the nozzles c) Capability of having vision centring with multi nozzle head for smaller components including CSP, BGAs, and smaller QFPS. 6. Minimum Component size (10 mil x 5 mil) onwards 7. Lead pitch capability 12mil ( 0.3 mm ) or better 8. Maximum Size of 70mm X 70mm or more Component 9. Packages Chip, MELF, mini MELF, SOT, DPAK, SOIC, PLCC, QFP, BGA, Mini BGA, CSP ODD SHAPE COMPONENTS etc. 10. Component leads J TYPE, GULL WING, BGA 11. BGA a) Ball Pitch- 0.4mm to 2mm or better b) Ball Diameter-0.25mm to 0.63,or better 12. Feeder capacity/machine The machine shall have the capability / compatible to accommodate 120 feeders of 8mm or better including autotray changer. However tray changer should not use more than 30 of 8mm slots. The entire feeder capacity should be available on one single machine. The Bidder shall also indicate the unit rate of all types of feeders separately in price bid as per the list provided. Feeders shall be capable of handling paper and plastic reels Type of feeders Electronic intelligent feeders a) Tapes, Stick (vibratory type), Waffle, JEDEC, Bulk, Tray b) Feeders must be intelligent type with auto pitch setting, it should also be adjustable through software. c) Feeders should be capable of communicating with the machine through suitable software to enable process stop on detecting wrong component, feeder maintenance alert, parts running out alert. It should be possible to disable these functions and work in manual mode also. d) Can handle to 1206 component sizes in common 8mm feeders and accommodate 180, 330, 390mm dia tapes/reels. e) Tape splicing to be supported, required tool to be supplied.

2 f) Feeders should be rugged, robust and repairable at site. g) Feeders should be identifiable using BAR code scanning. 14. Tray exchanger Tray exchanger with Minimum 10 trays of standard dimension. Tray exchanger shall be preferably on trolly. 15. Feeder mounting Capable of mounting and dismounting feeders directly on the machine online & Offline. 16. No of feeder Minimum 50% of feeder slots shall be on trolly banks/trolleys 17. Feeder compatibility The feeders shall be compatible for usage of plastic and Paper material reels. 18. Feeder position indication Feeder position indication for easy feeder mounting to be provided. 19. Feeder identification for LED indication of feeders for quick change during operation component reel / stick replacement 20. Automatic tape cutters Automatic tape cutters for used tapes to be provided for all the feeders. 21. Automatic nozzle changer Automatic nozzle changer to be provided 22. Nozzles for handling components The Bidder shall provide nozzles for all types of components with the machine. The cost of machine shall also include one extra set of nozzles. Further the bidder shall also indicate the unit rate of all types of nozzles separately in price bid. 23. Net speed throughput (min) IPC9850 Chip 20000cph IPC9850 Fine pitch 3000cph 24. Placement accuracy Chip components : Min 50microns at 3sigma.Better performance shall be preferred Fine pitch components: 35microns at 3 sigma or better. 25. X, Y, Z axis Motion All the drives (x,y,z axis) driving mechanism should be linear motors with lead screw/ball screw linear scale or on magnetic rail drive except conveyor system. 26. Rotational accuracy for +/- 0.05degrees or better for 50mm component size Fine pitch components 27. Rejection rate Less than 0.05% rejection in actual usage to be demonstrated 35. Reject components handling Suitable mechanism for collection of rejected components like trash bins to be provided. 36. Off line setup for Programming In addition to the machine an offline programming setup of following configuration is to be supplied. The desktop system of DELL/HP make having i7 processor, 1TB HDD, 4GB RAM, CD/DVD writer, USB scroll mouse, keyboard, 19 LED/LCD monitor, 3.0 and 2.0 USB, LAN port, licensed Windows OS etc, with suitable laser printer. Necessary software for offline preparation of data and transfer to the main machine shall be included in the offer. 41. Language English 42. Software library In Built Feeder Library, component library, package library etc. for placement programming 43. Optimization capability The machine program shall be capable of optimizing for best placement rate. 44. Compatibility SMEMA V +/-10%, 50Hz, Three Phase. Any Transformer required Power input shall be within the machine itself. 46. The total compressed air requirement volume and quality Compressed air shall be specified. 47. Working Environment Requirement of Air conditioning shall be clearly spelt out 48. Training Free of cost at site in two phases one at the time of commissioning and second after 3 months of commissioning. 51. software / hardware tools Necessary programming hardware and software including Machine optimisation packages shall be supplied along with the machine. (Specify the tools) 52. Documentation Hard copy of manuals comprising: Operator, Installation, and Electrical Drawings. On board technical manuals and tutorials supporting operator functions. CD containing manuals and tutorials. 53. Consumables Consumables for maintenance like lubricants should be supplied with machine. 54. Misc Any parts, Accessories, extra conveyer etc. required to seamlessly integrate the machine in the existing line of Puncom replacing the earlier pick N place shall be included 3
