Recreation Should I plan on trying out for all (3) levels- KHA, Kings Hammer Central/East Red, Kings Hammer Central/East Blue? We encourage anyone who wants to tryout for all levels to do so. If you are currently in a Kings or Hammer program, your current team coach(s) and Directors can also give feedback on the best tryout you should attend. What if I don t make a certain level? i.e I don t make the Red program...do I need to tryout for Blue? If you don t make the Academy or Red program, then the next level would be the Blue level. Do I need to tryout for both Central and East? You do not need to tryout for both Central and East. We feel we have two great facilities for training and can accommodate families based on location and what is convenient for you. KHSC Central s main facility is Town and Country located in Wilder, KY right off 275. KHSC East s main facility is 4Seasons located in Cincinnati, OH right off 275 near the marina. Are Central and East tryouts held at the same location? Central and East tryouts are NOT held at the same location. Central is: Town and Country, 1018 Town Drive, Wilder, KY East is: 4Seasons, 4609 Kellogg Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45226

2 If I don t make a Red team within Central, can I tryout for a Red team in East? If you don t make a Red team within Central and you are interested in the East location, our staff can help facilitate this and will liaison contact to the directors at the respective location. Will there be more than one Red or Blue team in a specific age group at a respective division? At each location, Central and East, there may be more than one Red team and one Blue team depending on the number and quality of players for each level. This means that we will accommodate the number of players we have to make several teams at each level if necessary. Example below: East Location: U12 Age Group Red 1 Red 2 Red 3 Blue 1 Blue 2 Central Location: U12 Age Group Red 1 Red 2 Blue 1 Blue 2 Blue 3 What is the difference between the East/Central Red and Blue teams? KH Red Teams RED teams are created through the tryout process and formed based on ability. Players on a KH East RED teams are looking for a professionalized training/coaching environment and want to make a commitment to the game of soccer, their team/coaches and the organization (commitment level various depending on age). There can be more than one Red team within the Central location depending on numbers and quality of players. RED Team Fees are all-inclusive with the exception of uniform/training gear, player/family travel to soccer events, and out of state player registration fee; all other soccer related fees are covered; Coach, League Fees, Referee Fees, Tournament Fees, Registration/Insurance Fees and Training 3 days/week.

3 KH Blue Teams BLUE teams are created through the tryout process. Player on a KH East BLUE teams are looking for a professionalized training/coaching environment but cannot make the full commitment that our RED program requires. Blue teams will train one less day per week. There can be more than one Blue team within the Central location depending on numbers and quality of players. BLUE Team Fees include; Coach, League Fees (CUSL), Registration/Insurance Fees and Training (2) days a week. Fees DO NOT Include; Uniforms/Training Gear, Out of State Player Registration Fee, Tournament Fees, League Fees outside of CUSL, Referee Fees, and Coaches Travel Expense. Can a team come to the club and join as a team? A team can come to the club and join as a team. We would recommend this team join our Blue program in their respective age group as the Red teams will be formed on ability. If that team is U9 and below, the team could come in under a Red team. If that teams is U10 and above, the team has an option to come in under a Red or Blue team, depending on their needs and wants and the specifics of the team dynamic (i.e. wanting to stay together or splitting up). Can a team that is currently Premier under the Kings structure move to Elite or what is now the Red program? Yes. A team that is currently Premier under the Kings structure can move up to Elite or the Red program. With that said, the coach will need to be licensed to keep with that team. Each team coach will be evaluated and our staff will then make the determination on whether that coach can stay with the team. Who is in charge of hiring coaches within East and Central? 4 Who is in charge of hiring trainers and goalkeeper trainers? Roby Stahl is in charge of hiring all of our trainers and goalkeeper trainers. What is the difference between a trainer and a coach? A trainer is someone who is with a team once a week. A coach is someone who is with the team at every training session and game and is in charge of the overall team dynamic and direction. Who is in charge of hiring KHA coaches? Tiffany Roberts is in charge of hiring the KHA Women s staff (gdoc@kingshammer.com). Dave McIver is in charge of hiring the KHA Men s staff (david.mciver@yahoo.com). Which location should my child attend for tryouts? If you were formerly a Kings player, the Central location will resume as it previously did. If you were formerly a Hammer player, the East location will resume as it previously did. Which team should my child tryout for Red or Blue? What are the differences between KHSC East Red and Blue Teams or Central Red and Blue Teams? The Red teams train 3x/week. BLUE teams are created through the tryout process. Player on a KH East BLUE teams are looking for a professionalized training/coaching environment but cannot make the full commitment that our RED program requires. The Blue teams train 2x/week. How long is the tryout process and when and how will we be notified of the results? Each age group has two tryout dates. We cannot make offers to any player until June 2. We are moving in from out of town and will not be here in time for tryouts. Is there a process in place to allow for an alternate tryout? We will be holding supplemental tryouts OR you can contact the director at your respective division to set something up.

5 What are differences between KHA and KHSC Central and KHSC East? The KHA primary goal is to create a highly competitive environment to which high level soccer athletes can receive the best local training to improve and then to showcase their talents. We will form, through the tryout process, only two (2) ACADEMY teams per age group/per gender (RED & BLUE). We strive to ensure maximum exposure for our players to college coaches. We want all of our players to receive the opportunity to play in college as a means to achieve a higher education. We seek that the very best players have the opportunity to play professionally and on US National teams. The KH Central/East Program is designed for our competitive soccer-athletes that are committed to the sport of soccer. The primary goal of the Kings Hammer Central/ East Program is PLAYER DEVELOPMENT. We do this by providing a challenging, pressurized training environment that creates a well-rounded, highly skilled soccerathlete. Where will my child practice? If your child is playing for a KHSC Central team, the Central main training facility is: Town and Country, 1018 Town Drive, Wilder, KY If your child is playing for a KHSC East team, the East main training facility is: 4Seasons, 4609 Kellogg Avenue, Cincinnati, OH How long is the season? Fall Season: Aug-Oct (U7-U14) / Winter I Season: Nov-Dec (U15-U18) Winter II Season: Jan-Mar (U8-U18) / Spring Season: April May (U8-U18) If my child does not make the top team, can they move up during the year? If your child does not make the top team, there will be opportunities to move up throughout the year so long as their coach/director feel it is in the best interest of the player s development. There will also be opportunities to guest play across all levels for all players- Red, Blue, Academy, East, and Central. How will the "premier" and elite program change at Kings next year? Within the new structure there will be 2 tiers, Red and Blue teams U10-U17. Red teams will be deemed the top teams, they will train 3x/week, paid coach/trainer and will pay one fee and everything is included except uniform. The 2 nd tier will be our Blue teams. Blue teams will train 2x/week, paid coach/trainer and

6 Blue teams pay a KHSC fee but that does not include tournaments, ref fees, or winter training. Both Red and Blue will have paid coaches. Will the Blue players all attend the same tryouts as the kids looking at the Red program? No. Tryouts for our Red and Blue teams will be separate for Kings Hammer Central and East. What is the difference between the Select and Recreation programs? KINGS HAMMER SELECT (KHS) (U9-U18 Boys & Girls) - The overall goal of the Kings Hammer Select Program is to provide an opportunity for as many kids as possible to play the great game of soccer within an extremely affordable package. The KH Select Program allows coaches, players and families complete control so that they can create their own path within the competitive soccer world. KHS rosters are created outside of the Kings Hammer Soccer Club hosted tryouts. Teams are parent coached and are formed based on ability, commitment and location. KINGS HAMMER RECREATIONAL (KHR) (U3, U4, U5, U6 Boys & Girls) The KHR is a recreational soccer program designed for our youngest of soccer-athletes that promotes a fun, positive soccer environment. The KHR s goal is to expose young soccer athletes to the game of soccer, while developing a variety of skill sets; physical, mental and social. My child is in middle school and wants to play high school in the fall for the freshman team and play select in the spring. Can we do this? Do we pay for spring only fees or fall and spring? If your child decides to play high school in the fall they can attend a supplemental tryout for the U14's in November for any Red or Blue teams that need additional players in his age group. Regarding fees, if your child plays U14's and plays high school in the fall, then club fees would be pro-rated based on the time missed in the fall. Can my child play up an age group? This will be at the sole discretion of the KHSC division director and coaching staff where your child wishes to tryout. Our goal is to place all players in the age group and level that best challenges and improves their development as a player and individual.

7 I want to bring my team over from a rec or select program at U7/U8/U9? What level can I come in at? What are my options in coaching? If that team is U9 and below, the team will come in under a Red team or may join the KHSC SELECT program. See information regarding the KHSC SELECT program in a previous question. Coaches may stay with their team depending on what level they wish to join the club and pending approval from the division director based on coaching education standards. I want to bring my team over from a rec or select program at U10 or above? What level can I come in at? What are my options in coaching? If that team is U10 and above, the team will come in under a BLUE team or may join the KHSC SELECT program. See information regarding the KHSC SELECT program in a previous question. Coaches may stay with their team depending on what level they wish to join the club and pending approval from the division director.
