3 Section I Summary Klever Marketing has created a mobile shopping application that can be branded to the retailer. The solution enables retailers and their brand partners to create, deliver, and redeem digital coupons. The solution also provides an optional loyalty module enabling the retailer to reward the shopper s use of the app. Section II Intended Benefits Klever Marketing s solution is intended to bring a full-featured mobile app to retailers that supports easyto-implement digital campaigns, points-based loyalty capability to grow shopper participation and spending, and provide a vehicle for brand manufacturers to bring new savings to shoppers in collaboration with participating retailers. While still young, Klever Marketing derived extensive learning from its 1.0 solution, implemented in a retailer to prove out the technology and functionality. With its 2.0 solution Klever Marketing is now ready to help retailers participate in mobile-based marketing. The Klever solution is intended to grow shopper value through new retailer driven digital offers,,campaigns, and loyalty capabilities, all delivered through a retailer-branded app that is fun and easy to use. Section III Functionality For the Shopper: Create and share shopping lists with friends and family; items able to be manually entered, by barcode scan, or by product search Locate closest participating store (address, map, telephone number, hours of operation, etc.) View store s weekly ad flyer Receive and redeem digital coupons Receive, accumulate, and redeem loyalty reward points Random awards made to shoppers that have checked into store For the Retailer: Create and manage digital promotional campaigns using digital coupons and loyalty program Make digital weekly ad flyer available to shoppers through app Reporting and analytics Ability to make realtime adjustments to promotional campaigns Create and send targeted s to shopper segments Use loyalty capabilities to award points to shoppers for participation in the program For brand manufacturers: Brands can create and manage digital offers and campaigns across participating stores Ability to monitor and make adjustments to promotional campaigns in realtime

4 Section IV Target Market Klever Marketing s solution can be used by any size retailer independent or chain - who is looking to provide a comprehensive mobile app to its shoppers along with the ability to create and manage digital promotional campaigns. The minimal systems integration required by Klever Marketing s solution combined with the ability to easily deliver (multiple) digital offers to the shopper at checkout by scanning one mobile barcode makes the system easy to deploy. Section V Shopper Experience The Klever Marketing solution is designed to provide a powerful yet easy to use mobile app to aid shoppers in organizing their shopping trip through list building along with providing new savings from digital offers created by the retailer, wholesaler, or brand manufacturer. The app is available for both ios and Android smartphones and is branded to the retailer. The Klever loyalty module is designed to provide even more savings to shoppers, rewarding them for participating in the program through the accumulation of points that can be redeemed for additional discounts or products. Klever s Chime-Time awards are intended to inject some fun into the shopping experience, randomly awarding shoppers who have checked-in at the store with bonus points or rewards. The winning shopper is notified via their smartphone while in the store (sort of like winning the lottery) and other shoppers in the store are notified that someone has just won. Section VI Retailer Experience Taking advantage of latest technologies, Klever Marketing s solution is easy for a retailer to implement and operate. Upon signing an agreement with Klever Marketing, software will be installed on the retailer s POS server at store level (see more in Retailer Requirements). This software enables Klever s proprietary Hook & Tender process that combines multiple digital coupons (offers) into one barcode presented on the shopper s smartphone and scanned at checkout. Klever Marketing s process unbundles the multiple coupons and processes them using the native POS coupon functionality. This is a novel solution enabling retailers to use digital offers without the typical significant POS integration required by other digital offer delivery solutions.

5 Retailers then access the Klever Marketing portal using a web browser where the retailer can create and manage digital offers and campaigns. Retailers are also able to access reporting and analytics via the portal and can make realtime adjustments to current marketing campaigns. The Klever loyalty module can be used by retailers to help drive shopper enrollment and ongoing participation in the program through awarding points based on spending, redeeming digital offers, viewing the weekly ad flyer, and referring the app to friends and family members. Section VII Retailer Requirements POS system interface: At the present time, the Klever Marketing solution is interfaced to the NCR (Retalix) ISS45 POS system; Klever is in the process of adapting its Hook and Tender process to additional POS systems. The POS interface is a simple process for the retailer; Klever Marketing installs software on the store POS server, a process taking only 10 minutes. The POS software enables Klever to bundle multiple digital coupons for a shopper who can then redeem the coupons by having the cashier scan one barcode displayed on the shopper s smartphone. Klever s solution unbundles the coupons and processes them one at a time within the POS system. Optical scanner: An optical scanner capable of reading a barcode displayed on smartphone screen is necessary. Handheld optical scanners have become increasingly inexpensive and are in use at many grocery stores today. Internet access: Klever Marketing requires the POS store server to have access to the internet enabling Klever to pull back coupon redemption information. Weekly ad flyer: Klever needs a PDF (or other suitable format) of the retailer s weekly ad flyer to make available to shoppers through the app. Browser access to Klever portal: The retailer accesses the Klever Marketing portal via a web browser to create and manage promotional campaigns, access reporting and analytics, etc. Section VIII Costs For the Retailer: One-time setup fee Monthly subscription fee based on number of stores; optional monthly subscription fee for loyalty module Per offer redemption fee For the Manufacturer: Brands wishing to create digital marketing promotion campaigns across participating retailers pay a monthly fee per store plus offer redemption fees
