It details each room: Robinson Courtroom (G102), Courtroom of the 90 s (G202), the Ethical Lawyering Classroom (G302), and the five studios on the third floor. All PCs are equipped with Microsoft Office 2003, Real Player, and Internet access. Using the AMX panel controls The black AMX panels located in RC, C90s, G302, JR and G310 have been designed to help you easily access the technology in each room. Each input source has a corresponding icon on the AMX panel. To activate the source, tap the button. This will show you the display on your preview monitor first (RC, C90s, G302) or directly on your display device (JR and G310). Once you see the output on your preview monitor, press the Show to Class button to project the image through the room s display system.

3 Robinson Courtroom (G102) The Robinson Courtroom is the largest room in the Girardi Advocacy Center (GAC). Seating capacity - 95 students Separate areas designated for counsel, jury box, witness, judges and court clerk All tables are powered for laptop use Presenters podium equipped with: o PC with USB drive, CD/DVD drive, network connection o AMX control panel o Document camera o ELO touch-sensitive monitor o Podium is facing audience (lecture mode) SmartBoard plasma display 2 large screen rear-projection display units mounted in the ceiling Overview of Robinson Courtroom Media cabinet which holds DVD player, VHS tape player, cassette player and CD player. All devices can be controlled by AMX panel on the podium. 2

4 The room contains four wall-mounted cameras, two in front and two in back. All cameras can be controlled from the AMX panel and from the 3rd floor control room. Instructor s podium equipment Podium top contains AMX panel and ELO touch-sensitive monitor Instructor s podium and SmartBoard display 3

5 AMX panel controls PC display, VHS & DVD players, document camera display, volume, and lighting. Display available for classroom mode or trial mode. Tap buttons on the screen to activate controls. Please hit System Shutdown when finished. Document camera power on by pressing the top right button. Place your document face up and adjust display by pressing zoom buttons and/or adjusting position of document. PC in podium PC has CD/DVD drive, front USB ports. 4

6 Jury Room (G110) The Jury Room can be used as an actual jury room for deliberations, for meetings, or as a break-out room. Seating capacity - 12 people Table is powered for laptop use and data connections AMX panel controls input to wall-mounted plasma display SmartBoard plasma display Overview of Jury Room PC in credenza - PC has CD/DVD drive, front USB ports. 5

8 The Courtroom of the 90s has the following features: Courtroom of the 90s (G202) Seating capacity - 62 students All tables are powered for laptop use Presenters podium equipped with: o PC with USB drive, CD/DVD drive, network connection o AMX control panel o Document camera o Podium is facing bench (trial mode) SmartBoard plasma display 2 ceiling-mounted projectors Overview of C90s The media cabinet holds a DVD player, VHS tape player, cassette player and CD player. All devices can be controlled by AMX panel on the podium. 7

9 The room contains two wall-mounted cameras, one in front and one in back. Both can be controlled from the AMX panel and from the 3rd floor control room. SmartBoard plasma display. Please move SmartBoard with caution. Instructor s podium equipment Instructor s podium contains PC, monitor, AMX panel, and document camera. Users can also connect their own laptop to the podium. 8

11 G302 has the following features: Ethical Lawyering Classroom (G302) Seating capacity - 36 students All tables are powered for laptop use Presenters podium equipped with: o PC with USB drive, CD/DVD drive, network connection o AMX control panel o Document camera 2 SmartBoard wall-mounted displays 2 ceiling-mounted projectors Overview of Ethical Lawyering Classroom 2 SmartBoards writing appears on both boards simultaneously. You can also show two different outputs through each projector through controls on the AMX panel. 10

14 3rd Floor Studios There are five studios. Each has: TV (all rooms except 310) or plasma display (room 310 only) DVD / VCR player Table seating for four Studios are reserved through Stuart Miller in the Instructional Media group of ITD. Contact Stuart (ext. 1111) or stuart.miller@lls.edu. Using the Interview Room Display Systems This studio requires you to manually select and control the audio visual display systems. Below are the steps you must follow to properly work with these devices. 1. Turn on the television Power switch is on the top 2. Select video feed Press the TV/VIDEO button on top of the television to display: Video 3 VCR or DVD 3. Power on the player The VHS player and DVD are located in the credenza below the TV. Open the door and press the power button located on the front of each device. 4. Insert the media Insert your tape or DVD into player. 5. Select video source Below the players is a switcher. The top row of buttons shows sources available to you (labeled with IN). The bottom row of buttons shows destinations where you could send your media (labeled with OUT). To play a VHS tape or DVD, tap the device button from the top row then press the MON button from the bottom row. 13

15 6. To play a VHS tape or DVD - Tap the ENTER button toward the right of the switcher. 14
