8 8 Base Camp at Tanaga Island ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM Formerly Used Defense Sites Program: performs environmental restoration of sites contaminated with hazardous, toxic or radioactive waste and/or ordnance from past military activities. Beach Excavation at Kogru River Native American Lands Environmental: Mitigation Program: administers cooperative agreements with tribes to mitigate military impacts on tribal lands. Tribes execute work with tribal resources and federal funding. Army and Air Force Environmental Program: provides technical assistance to identify, investigate and clean up hazardous substances, pollutants and contaminants on active installations. White Phosphorous Remediation at Eagle River Flats Interagency Environmental Program: engages in environmental remediation and compliance activities on behalf of non-dod federal agencies.
