The optimal p rocess parameter s for melanin ext ractio n f ro m Plectania YM421 was achieved : extraction times as 4 hours, extraction tempretrue as 90 and ratio of material to solution as The melanin exhibit s the strong ability of anti2ultraviolet ray irradiation, and the oxygen radical absorbance capacity of p hosp hatidylcholine was 56 % at 80mg/ ml of t he melanin. Furt hermore, t he melanin can highly inhibit oxidative activity of bean oil.
