Perez hit a solo homer in the sixth and a two-run shot in the eighth, his second and third homers of the year. The Cardinals scored four runs in the fifth inning thanks to RBI-hits from Domnit Bolivar, D Marcus Ingram and Adam Melker. Fornataro followed up his previous eight-inning win with a strong seven-inning performance, allowing two earned runs and six hits. Right-hander Chase Reid came on in the eighth and struck out four of the six men he faced to earn his first save of the season. Righty Kyle Allen suffered the loss for the Mets. The Cardinals...
